My proximal RNY is complete, and I am already home. Walked and sipped like crazy, and I am so happy to be home. Much less pain than I expected. I feel pretty good. No gas pain yet. Jut a little trouble sleeping, anxiety perhaps....

Hi I am also being banded on November 5th, in Hazleton,PA which is in the beautiful Pocono Mts...The leaves are changing and it is so beautiful....I am changing also.... I am finding it interesting the different approaches the physicians have with regard to the pre op diets....I was on liquid diet for 2 weeks. But I was allowed sugar free pudding adn jello, cottage (yuck) cheese, sugar free ice pops or other pops, crystal light, cream of wheat, cream soups. etc. ...it made my life a WHOLE lot easier. Lap band is fairly new around here, before maybe 9-12 months ago we would have had to gone to "the city" as in Philadelphia,NYC, etc.... I had all my PATs today and I am in like Flynn. I can not wait. I had resigned my self to being over weight, but when my diabetes went out of control this summer, I knew I had to do something....I had mulled this over for almost 4 yrs....and that was the factor for me....and the more I think about it the more I am looking forward to losing the weight AND taking control of my diabetes with out insulin!! woohoo. If anyone wants to talk gimme a holler Susan
