Topic: RE: Post Op 11/20 and Home!
Me too! I came home Thursday afternoon. I was told by my surgeon that I will NOT be able to get in all the protein the first few days and that's normal; however, I should keep trying. Yesterday I did the best yet - about 50g. I feel like I'm working on it all day, between the water and the protein - I was told, "your job is to drink water." But so far, so good. -Kelly

I had surgery on 11*12-07 and i am requestng my doctor 2 alow me to take 8 weeks. Even though a lot of people at my job that had RYN came back in 2 weeks, I am just too exhausted and I would like 2 take my time w/o the stress of work.

Topic: Post Op 11/20 and Home!
Hi all, I have been home since Wednesday night and things are going well. But I cannot get in all my protein. My stomach is full. Who would have thought I would ever say those words? Any of you newbies having trouble? I am still in the post op liquid diet but it is so hard to drink all that is required. Should I put double scoops of protein in one drink? Any suggestions? Also, pre-op I lost 9lbs and post op I have lost 6; so 15 lbs in 3 weeks. I cannot believe it. Maria

Topic: Anyone have Surgery on the 13th?
Hey all, don't you just love this site!?! I had RNY on the 13th and am looking for a buddy to encourage and be encouraged by? I think it would be fun to have someone to share the journey with that had surgery on my date! God Bless to all! Julie

Cathy, Thanks so much for the shout out about the troops! My husband is an Airborne Korean Linquist and is currently serving in the middle east. God bless your two sons and may we all see our loved ones come home safe! Julie

April, I had RNY on the 13th and have yet to have a bowel movement. I don't feel any discomfort and just assumed that it was because I've only been drinking liquids. I was given Colace as a prescription right out of the hospital and that hasn't done much for me! If you feel discomfort I would definately give your doctor a call! good Luck! Julie
