Well, how are you doing after your first fill? Any better? I had my surgery 12/10 and have had one fill but still think I can eat to much...I might just want to see results to quick. I am not sure! And I don't think it is mind hunger...it is the same hunger that got me to be so fat in the first place! LOL

Congratulations! I don't really feel my port either. But I did not even know the differences in the bands until I finally logged on to this site. People were going on about their bands being 10 cc and being 2cc full...boy do I have some questions for the doctor! But never the less, good luck and congrats!!!

Don't be sad. I was wondering why has such a long period of time passed for your first fill? My surgery was on 12/10 and I already had a fill. I still notice that I can eat to much so I requested another fill which should happen on 2/07. What are you experiencing right now? Can you still eat to much? What foods are you eating? I will try that. I am getting the protein, but only about 40oz of water a day. I have been trying to get more, it is just so hard. Thanks for the help. Jeannie

Hi Jeannie- Are you getting in enough water? I was told that you can become orthostatic (dizzy when getting up) from dehydration...I also tried adding just a little salt to my food and that seemed to help...Checking your protein grams is also important...Good luck...If it gets worse, I would call your surgeon's office and at least speak to a nurse or PA...they could help over the phone... ~Jenn

I had my surgery on Nov 30th and all went well until a couple of weeks ago I started feeling light headed when I stand up. I tried to get through to the dr and even scheduled an apt but it went away(mostly). Now it has come back in the worst way and I can't get into see the do****il wed. Anyone have the same thing?? I need help, please reply to me as soon as you can. Jeannie

Where are you on vitamins? I had been low energy and reviewed the specific brands of vitamins with my nutritionist. I was using a liquid B Complex. It turns out most liquid B Complex's are missing B1 (thiamin) which is essential for energy so now I take that separately. As someone else mentioned, I've discovered that ice cold beverages are so much easier for me to get down than cool / room temp beverages. I've never like ice cold before! You can also try Propel water (light flavor to it). Hot tea works for me too -- anything freezing or hot. SF popsicles are a joy. I am definitely pushing for some variety in my food. I don't want this to be like Weigh****chers where everything worked as long as I followed my tunafish regime. Some ideas: shrimp (chew well) with ****tail sauce; veggie chili (I pick it up from a nearby restaurant and dump it into a couple containers to take to work); also recipes from egg-face's blog (www.theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com) Good luck. At 8 weeks I had lost 54 pounds. Around that time I started going to the Y 5 days a week and I can see real changes in my body, but I'm not weighing myself until 1/30 which will be 12 weeks. Surgery 11/7
