Topic: RE: Weight Loss To Date
Hello from Pittsburgh-
My surgery was 11/12/07, I am down to 230 from 285. (55 total) I feel like it is coming off sooooo slowly. Sometimes it seems the scale will not move for weeks! Sounds like a lot of you feel the same way, which is reassuring!

I understand what your saying I also have problems but I went and tried different protien bars and I found the science diet stuff is pretty good 10 g of protien in each one and it fills me up so I don't snack on anything else.. also I drink high protien shakes by slim fast also but not to often.. for breakfast normally I have trouble getting meat in so my protien is normally yogurt , cheese , cottage chesse has a lot of protein, so keep your spirts up I keep getting told it will get easier.. I had surg. nov 7th open RNY down 58 pounds .. take care gl on your journey cathy

Are you still unable to get your protein through foods? I am just about a week after you time-wise, and I rarely use a protein drink anymore...I probably only have a carnation instant breakfast when I am on the run or have an early meeting...Are you a yogurt eater? I have become "addicted" to Greek yogurt...A 5oz cup has about 13g of protein in it...I add a little Splenda and/or some applesauce and it is one of my favorite snacks! It really puts me ahead on the protein!

Hi to everyone! I too did not know there was a message board for those who had surgery around the same time. That is great! This way I can see if I'm on target as others who had surgery in November 2007. My RNY was on Nov 5, 2007 and I'm down 55 lbs. I see others like Angie has lost 67lbs. That is great. I hope I am losing the way I'm suppose to because sometimes I wonder '' am I losing at all " I would love to hear from those who had surgery in November 2007
Happy Losing!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, I had my surgery on Nov 21 and to date have lost about 40 lbs, plus 47 prior to the surgery so I have had a good weight lose. However, I had hit 255 and now have gained back two lbs. I am wondering if anyone knows if this is nomal? Im a little worried. My dr said he didnt expect me to lose all my excess weight considering I am 5ft 11in but is it normal to top out at only two months post op? Any ideas or anything please let me know. Thanks.

Nothing tastes good anymore! Right after surgery, I loved the EAS Advantage drinks, now I can't stand them. I don't like Isopure anymore either. Any advice for a quick, easy protein drink?

Hi Jessica. We're running on the same track. I've lost 42 pounds as of this morning. I'm also frustrated with the slowness of it, lately it's only been 1 pound per week. BUT, in my previous life, it would not have happened at all. Gotta look at the bright side, right?
