Try putting a little bit of vanilla in as well. It makes it taste like French Vanilla Yogurt.

Also- if it is close to "that time of the month" you may gain a bit if water weight. I myself went up 2 lbs, and a day after it started I was back down.

Hi guys. I too just discovered the "by date" site. I had my surgery on Nov. 12th. I started out at 311 and am currently at 245. That is a total of 66 pounds. I really haven't gotten discouraged yet. I know pre surgery it would not have even been possible to lose this amount in even double this time. So every pound that comes off no matter how slow is better than gaining even one. Everyone seems to be doing a good job. We just have to keep positive and look at the difference in our clothes already. I sometimes try and wear shirts that I wore post surgery and my family laughs at me and says "mom I don't think so. You are swimming it" so that really makes me feel good. Prays to you all.

I make an orange cream shake. I get the vanilla protein from Wal-mart. I add a Sugar free orange popsicle, skim milk and 1 scoop of protien. put it in the bullet for about 10 secs. It is great. THe scoop of protien has 23 gr plus the little extra from the milk. Taste great. Even my non dieting family loves them.

I drink a protein drink called Syntrax Nectar (I use Chocolate Truffle flavor). It tastes like chocolate milk. I mix one scoup with ~six ounces of water. It has 23grams protein and 100 calories. After struggling with a lot of different shakes, this one is super easy to get down for me. I even take it with me when I travel and mix it up by simply shaking the water and powder together in a bottle and it mixes perfectly. Kelly

Hi everyone. Just checking in. I had lap RNY on Nov 15. I am 5'2'' and started at 237. Today, I'm 195 (down 42 pounds in 11.5 weeks). It's good to hear others are a little discontent with the slowness of loss (as that's my every day thought!****ep thinking of the bigger picture . . . like the changes to my lifestyle I am making. I'm not sure why but exercise is somehow easier and more fulfilling post RNY. I am making smarter food choices, and doing it with healthy variety and good tasting food. (Can you tell I have to remind myself of this all the time?!) I'm enjoying that I have strong, healthy fingernails for the first time in my life. I think it's all the protein and the vitamins.

Hi Julie. I had RNY revision surgery 11/13/2007 and recently joined OH. Just went back to work last week. Had post-op complications (gastric leak) that required placing a stent in my esophagus for 6 weeks. Didn't experiment much with food until recently. How's it going for you? I don't tolerate leftovers well and what works great one day can be a projectile the next! Kathy

Hi. I'm also struggling to get enough protein since going back to work this week. I ordered Beneprotein from the internet to mix in food and drinks (not supposed to have any flavor). Got it today. Will see how that goes. Have you tried Boost High Protein drinks? They have 15 grams of protein. Not sure how the taste compares to EAS. Haven't had EAS in a year or two. Hang in there!
