Topic: RE: How do you feel
well, I just got home from walking the Baton Rouge Zoo with my littlest granddaughters (2). Ages 2 and 3, and the 3 yr old's school friends. Before my surgery there would have been no way I could have done this. How I feel? Wonderful, I have my life back, I still have a way to go...............but I feel I have a hold on this now. Great for me and Great for my granddaughters, too.

Topic: Monthly Weigh In
Well ladies, its that time again! To share how great everyone is doing!!! As of this morning, I'm down 73 pound. So this month I lost another ten pounds. My surgeon's goal is 10 pounds per month, so I'm right on track.

Height: 5'4
Current Weight: 231.5
I can't wait to see how everyone is doing!!!
Topic: RE: Worried
Glad im not the only person going through this. I am so worried I will not lose more or possibly gain back!!!! YUCK! I am hoping we all start on the losing course again. I was told to up my water intake, and not to drink half hour before during or a half hour after. Other wise the food goes straight through and you eat because you are not full. So I am going to attempt this, hoping this helps with everyone elses situation. Keep in touch and let me know how the weight loss is going.

Topic: RE: Monthly weigh in for April 2008
Hi, I'm new to all this. It seems like I am eating more and I don't like it. I've realized that some of my old habits are back and I am fighting against them. My gastric bypass was 11/29 and I was 370. I'm now 252, so I'm down 118 lbs. My goal is 170 so I still have 82 lbs to go. I've notice that now I'm only loosing weight when I have my period. What the hell? Nothing for weeks, then bam thier goes 10 lbs.

Laura,
Funny - I came here to see if this was happening to anyone else too. My surgery was 11-27-07. And I too have went from loosing 20+ lbs a month to only 9 lb last month and in the last 2 weeks- only 1-2 lbs. I am hoping that this is a normal stall and in a week or so things will pick up again. Best wishes.
Topic: RE: Stall
I have been at the same weight now for about a month. I am 5 months out and it is driving me nuts. I get worried all the time that I messed something up and am going to gain the weight back, so the frustration is normal and thats why we are on here. Its always nice to see that someone else understands exactly what your going through... Good luck with the stall and keep your fingers crossed for the rest of us also.
Topic: Worried
My surgery was Nov. 26, 2007 and I have been at a standstill pretty much weight wise for about a month. I am staying within a 2lb weight range. I am no longer getting sick from eating(normally this would be good), and it seems I feel hungry more often. I am worried that I somehow messed the pouch up and am going to gain all the weight I have lost back. I honestly just want to cry right now. Has this happened to anyone else and is there a way to fix the problem? (If there is a problem) Any help right now is greatly appreciated..

Hey everyone Thanks for posting this Barbara
I feel great about my 75 pound weight loss. I had surgery on 11/26/07 and just need 33 more pounds to go to reach my goal.
I have to say that I no longer stay home watching T.V!!!!! I'm very proud of saying that. I actually go out with my husband to night clubs and dance all night! I actually love going to the stores and buyng clothes! I never like doing that before.
My husband really loves the new me in every way. I have such a better atittute and I'm just enjoying my life a lot more then ever before! If I had to do this surgery again today I will without even thinking about it!
I'm working out a lot, taking all my vitimans, just feeling great about my new life!
I really hope everyone else feels as great as I do. Wish you all the very best
Jenny

I feel marvelous!!! I have felt great since i hit about 40 pounds lost. Since surgery I have lost 63 pounds and 73 from the start.
Yes i would like to see the scale move a little faster but i am grateful again that is is moving and my stall is past history for a while. I love being able to put on regular jeans and zip them up. some time maybe my waist will grow into my hips and legs and i wont have to wear clown pants tho. I did try some faded glory stretch jean and they did fit better but i gonna wait till i lose some more weight as i dont really need any jeans right now. I also bought a bra a size smaller today and wow it does fit. woo hoo.
I dont nap like i use too either I cant say i have lots of energy but i do have more than before. I do take my vitamins calcium and vitamin d and i also take b12 sublingal and i need to have blood work done on monday for my sixth month doctors appointment in May. I have decided that i need a full length mirror here at the house because my half mirrors make me look real short and fat lol. Well have a great day all !!! Patty
