Hi all, Just saying hello - I got my date with Dr. Roslin in NYC for November 20th. Seems ages away, but this works best for minimum time taken off work (over week of Thanksgiving) and less interference with end of year business (of which there is tons - I'm wishing for a a speedy recovery.) I'm still waiting to hear back on official confirmation from insurance, which has me slightly stressed, though technically there's no reason why I would be denied. Then I guess it'll just be a waiting game, while I practice making better food choices and compile my Support Army (psychologist, nutritionist, personal trainer, good friends.) Looking forward to chatting with all of you who are also anticipating November! -Kelly

Hi Tim, Congratulations on becoming a Novemberite. I had my RNY in May and I have been VERY please with the result so far. I have lost 95 pounds (lost 36 before the surgery process in order to be as healthy as I could for the actual surgery) and I'm hoping to hit the 100 pound mark this week or perhaps next week. The numbers are not as important to me as my quality of life is just so much better. I do keep up with my blog on my profile so if you click on my name right at the top of this post, it will take you to my blog/journal and you will find out a bit more about my journey. You can learn a lot by visiting the message board of the type of surgery you are having. Of course you will find all of those by clicking on the word "Forums" on the tool bar at the top. Tim, if you have any more questions, I'll be happy to help you out... ...anyone else???? John P.S. Sorry about taking such a long time to reply, but I had been regularly checking in with the board, but just missed that you had replied.

HI Kelly, I'm scheduled for Nov. 27th. I've been working towards this goal since 2002. Lost my job, lost my insurance, had ot go on disability and finally after 5 very long rough years my dream is finally hear. The antisipation is already driving me crazy. I've been working out 5 to 6 days a week, lost 25 #'s in the last three months. Hoping to make new friends here, both those that have had the surgery and those like me that are about to. Good luck to us all. Renee` from Ludington, MI.

::: big sigh ::: Yeah, I am. My last nutrionist appointment is September 7 and I will probably get approval within a couple weeks according to my insurance gal. But my sister's wedding in October means I can't schedule it until at least early November. I'm ready to do this NOW. And I'm having a bit of a temper tantrum because I have to wait. I love my sister and she's waited years to find the right guy; it's her first wedding and I'm so happy for her. If I have complications or can't be 100% it would upset too many people. Plus, the department I work in is short handed and my boss---who has been supportive---wanted to know when I would be out and he said November would be better for the department. I shouldn't whine, but I am just so anxious to get started I guess I'm acting a little like a spoiled brat. I'll eventually get my head around it and accept it. But this week I'm being a little baby. Wah!

Hi I signed up with OH last april and have just really started reading the posts. My surgery date is sometime in November , no exact date yet. I am having RNY at Kaiser S. Sanfrancisco. My first questions are what type of surgery did you have and how are you doing? Thanks Tim Brown
