Hi John and all the Novemberites. I am scheduled for the 26th as the last patient of the day. I have just started the process and am waiting for approval from my insurance company. I hope it goes easily, that we are talking insurance.... I am kind of a hypercondriac and I am nervous about how I will feel after the RNY surgery. I already suffer a bit from heart palpitations, extreme weakness, etc. when I go without food when my blood sugar goes down. I am worried that it will be worse after the surgery. Is this easy to overcome with diet? Does it last a long time? I think they call it dumping syndrome and these are a few of the symptoms. I originally was thinking of doing the lap band but after discussing the RNY with my surgeon and the chances that my body will not like sugar and fats I thought I would like to take the chance and hopefully not tolerate sugar. That is my biggest down fall, sweets! Thanks so much for volunteering to be our support! Hugs Lynn
