I'm starting a new job on night shift. I will need caffeine pills or coffee with spender to help stay awake to adjust to new hours.... Is anyone drinking coffee or caffeine drinks and if so any side effects? I remember during meets before surgery be told, you shouldn't drink coffee because it can cause stomach unclers..Thank U

Topic: Hair loss
Hi I had surgery in late November and wanted to know if anyone could help me. I have been loosing hair for about 2 months now and I need to know if this is ever going to stop. I consume 50-60g of protein shakes daily sometimes more. I eat well as far as vegis and eaten protein, low fat, no sugar and all the rules I know of. I am starting to notice my hair is actually thinner. I loose quite a bit of hair everyday when I shower. Am I ever going to get my hair back and is there ever going to be a time that I won't have to worry about my protein consumed so the fear of hair loss is gone? Please someone help me??? :bath

Topic: RE: Worried
Hi, I had my surgery on Nov 30th and I have also gone through a month+ of no weight loss. Just staying within a 2 lb range. But about a week ago I begain loosing again, I have lost 5lbs and I am still dropping. I have 30lbs to go to get to my goal so I am hoping I never have that long of a stall again. All will be fine with you, remember portion size counts, LOTS of water, at least 60g of protein no matter how you get it, ban fatty foods, and all the exercise your day or week can allow you. I exercise 1.5-2 hours everyday. I do not want saggy skin and can't go through surgery because of insurance. Your situation may be different and everyones body reacts different. So don't loose faith, you will loose again. If all else fails contact you doc or nutritionist to ask for advise, they are more then willing to help. Good luck and keep up all the good work.

Topic: RE: I'm hungry all the time
Hi Jeannie, I am right where you are as my surgery was 11/28/07. I still am never hungry, rather not the same feeling of hunger before surgery. My body does let me know when I need to eat, but can't really say I get hungry. I was wondering if you maybe tried to eat more often, filling in with a bit of fruit, or vegies, to keep you from getting hungry. I love celery stuffed with laughing cow lite, only 35 calories per wedge and 2.5g protein. It is a soft cheese, spreads easy, and tastes great. I am not looking forward to getting to where I am hungry all the time. I still have to force myself to eat sometimes, however, it seems to get easier all the time. Best of luck to you.....hang in there. Sharon
