Heather - I had my pre-admission testing today too. Also met my new surgeon for the first time today (my previous choice of surgeons is out on medical leave, so had to pick a different one). So spending the day getting things done for the surgery and sitting in a waiting room with other WLS women who were more than willing to chit chat about the surgery - how wonderful was that?! My skinny friends just don't seem all that interested in the details that I want to talk about --- don't want to talk their ear off. I'm definitely excited to get going. But there are moments of sheer nervousness and anxiety ... which usually get pushed aside for the excitement. I'm sure as November 13th gets closer the nerves will creep in a bit more. But for now I'm enjoying these last 2.5 weeks before surgery. And reading my butt off too!! LOL! Pam

Shana: You're just 6 days after me ... we'll be celebrating Thanksgiving in style this year, huh? I think a pumpkin flavored protein shake will be in order. Congratulations on getting your date! Pam

I can hardly concentrate! I'm getting so excited...only 2 weeks left. I feel like I have a new boyfriend or something (of course, I've been married for 11 years so I'm not sure I really remember what that feels like!)...I'm obsessed with checking these boards and reading through all my WLS books! It's all I can think & talk about...I just keep talking to different people so I don't drive anyone nuts... Is it just me?? I started my pre-op diet on Monday (2 days early I was so excited)! I went today for my pre-admission tests (easy!)...so ready to lose this weight and get back to doing all the things I stopped doing because of my weight! Wishing all you November patients the best!
