It's amazing how time flies. I found out back in September that I was having surgery and I thought time was going to crawl by, but I'm less that 2 weeks from my surgery date **** too!).
What an amazing journey we will all be on very soon. I have my pre-op on 10/30 and I imagine I'll have a 6-7 day liquid diet. Good...I'll lose 10-15 pounds before surgery.

Hello all I have been on liquids now for two days it has been ok I just have been drinking water between shakes and all. has anyone had concerns for there spouces being worried about the surgery I love the Lord and know I will be in completely his hands . My husband is a wonderful guy but I think he worries to much. gl WLS Nov. buddys

Hello Heather, I have been on my liquids for two days also but I'm not early my surgery is on the 7th of nov and I completely think my friends at work are sick of me talking about the WLS but they would never tell me. they Know how excited I am to get this underway, you sound like me though when it comes to Excitement. My husband Don't understand . He is more afraid for me to have this done then I am I think. well Gl my November Surgery Buddys.. take care.

My surgery date is on November 20th as well, two days before thanksgiving and we have plenty to be thankful for, including a chance for a better quaility of life. Good luck on your day! I will be praying for you!

I'm scheduled for RNY surgery just 2 days after you..so I get what you're talking about when you say you're excited!
Don't you hate the TV commercials? I want to freak out on the fast food places! ...they really just shove that stuff down our throats don't they? I wonder why so much of America is obese... The worst part is that all that gooey, sizzly, crispy wondful they're showing isn't even reality! How many times have I been lurred by a Pizza Hut or Taco Bell commercial and been disapointed by the reality??? I hope I've learned.

Man, all of you are lucky or at least thats what i think :-) My doctor has me on three protein shakes a day and they are yucky. Thats all i can have (besides water) but nothing else. Ewww this is so hard. I wish i could drink slim fast, i like that stuff.
Topic: Surgery less than 2 weeks away!
I just joined this site last night and love it so far. I am currently doing the pre op liquid diet (which sucks) and my surgery is right around the corner. Anyone have anything to say? Good, Bad, inbetween? Anything that could be of help or interest to a soon lap bander.

I'm on day 2 of the liquid protein diet and I am hungry. I have just switched to watching nothing but my DVD's. I like your Netflix idea. I didn't realize how much food is on TV! I get more and more excited as the days have gone by. I have an aunt who I think is more excited than I am. ;-)
I live with my mom who had RNY 4 years ago and looks like a million bucks now. I'm lucky that I have a live in support group! She keeps telling me that while my family is feasting on turkey and "fixins" for Thanksgiving, I will be happy to have my protein drink on my little stomach.
