Worried

My surgery was Nov. 26, 2007 and I have been at a standstill pretty much weight wise for about a month. I am staying within a 2lb weight range. I am no longer getting sick from eating(normally this would be good), and it seems I feel hungry more often. I am worried that I somehow messed the pouch up and am going to gain all the weight I have lost back. I honestly just want to cry right now. Has this happened to anyone else and is there a way to fix the problem? (If there is a problem) Any help right now is greatly appreciated..

Laura, Funny - I came here to see if this was happening to anyone else too. My surgery was 11-27-07. And I too have went from loosing 20+ lbs a month to only 9 lb last month and in the last 2 weeks- only 1-2 lbs. I am hoping that this is a normal stall and in a week or so things will pick up again. Best wishes.

Glad im not the only person going through this. I am so worried I will not lose more or possibly gain back!!!! YUCK! I am hoping we all start on the losing course again. I was told to up my water intake, and not to drink half hour before during or a half hour after. Other wise the food goes straight through and you eat because you are not full. So I am going to attempt this, hoping this helps with everyone elses situation. Keep in touch and let me know how the weight loss is going.

Hi, I am going through the same thing. I had my surgery on Nov. 13, 2007. My weight is 180-183 and I have been stuck around there for a week or two. I have increased my water and my active level hoping that will help but no luck yet. I to have been able to eat more but I need to control that by increasing the water intake. I do feel more energy and have been able to exercise a lot more. I still can't seem to lose weight. This has happened to me before around the time my "auntie flow" comes to visit. I pray that is what is going on.

If ya'll have been around the OH boards for any length of time, you'll know that this is pretty common. right around the 5 to 6 month mark many people claim they had a long plateau that lastest several weeks or even a couple months. Make sure you are taking your measurements to see if you're losing inches instead of pounds right now. And just keep following your plan and keeping up with the exercise. Things should start moving again soon enough. Pam

I just went through the same thing as well. I was losing very rapidly and then I went through a 4 week period where I only lost 3 1/2 pounds! I thought, oh no, is this it? Am I done losing weight? Did I do something wrong?? Nope, I just had to be patient and here in the last week the pounds have started dropping again. I've lost 8 pounds in the last 2 weeks! So just hang in there and keep doing what you're supposed to do and the weight will drop. Stalls are hard to go through but just focus on the long term goal and know if you eat right, exercise and drink your liquids you WILL lose the weight!! Best of luck to you on your journey!!

I was at a standstill in February, so I made sure I got my water in and cut down on the beans (bean soup, refried beans, beans everywhere!) and upped my protein with my shakes instead, and the scale started moving again. Beans are bad carbs for me even if the protein side is good. Another thing, make sure you're eating enough, I went thru that phase, too. The scale stopped moving and I realized I wasn't eating, so I went back to using my journal to write everything down that I ate and that got me back on track again. Good luck.

I got my band on 11-26 also! I am 61 lbs down so far and feel the same way u do. I really get scared thinking oh no, this is it.... since my goal is to shed 115 lbs I feel like I am not only letting myself down but others around me. Today I am starting to walk even if it kills me. Have u been walking and exercising? Just hang in there and we will start loosing again
