Water?

I ma having a tough time getting water in I hate water and it is so hard to get all the water I need to keep losing any suggestions?

Try adding lots of ice! I love drinking water but it has to be full of ice! Jenny

God I can't stand plain water! But, I drink 64 ounces of FLUID a day. I usually have chamomile tea. I take a 32 ounce Nalgene bottle, throw 2 Celestial Seasonings teabags and two splenda packets in it and fill it with ho****er. By the time I get to work, it's ready to drink. I also like the Sunrise Orange Crystal Light. The Peach Iced Tea Crystal Light isn't bad either. I ended up in the ER three days after I came home from surgery with dehydration so I'm really careful to be sure I get my fluids. Get a couple of Nalgene Bottles, fill them and carry one around with you all the time and sip, sip, sip. I also find that I can't drink anything cold. Warm to hot works better for me. Fool around with the temperature of your fluids to see if another temp (cooler or warmer) would make it easier.

My Nutritionist wants me to get half of my fluid intake from plain ole water. I simply can't do it. so she's happy if I can just get my 64oz in however I can. My protein shake in the morning counts toward my fluid intake. Then I do three 20oz glasses of crystal light throughout the day. But you could also do hot tea, hot cocoa, ice tea or even water with a twist of lemon/lime/orange/cucumber for flavor. I also find that it's easier for me to drink if I'm drinking out of a glass with an open top --- rather than a water bottle with a small opening. Not sure why, but it works for me. Pam

Hello all, thank you for your responses they have been helpful and Pam I thank-you especially I called my nutritionist and she told me pretty close to what you told me but I wanted to make sure through my dr's staff and the nut was ok with it but said to continue to try to get more plain water in then other stuff. thanks for the advice it has helped Cathy
