I don't do much in the way of meat. My pouch doesn't like it. But I can eat 4 oz of shrimp or 3 oz of sliced deli ham or turkey or fish, and 1/4 cup of veggies. This is much less than what I am supposed to be able to do, but my nutritionist doesn't seem to be worried about it.

It totally depends on what I'm eating. the more dense the food, the less I eat. If it's something that's soft or liquidy I can eat more. Here are some examples. Beef, pork, fish, chicken -- about 3oz Yogurt, pudding, etc. -- about 6oz Stew, chili, thick soup -- about 8oz Salad - about 1 cup or a bit more Fruit & Veggies --- about half an apple or about 1/2c veggies (snack type stuff) At this point our pouches are probably still not fully healed with regard to the nerves that were cut during surgery. It takes about 3 to 9 months for those nerves to regenerate and start working again. so we won't feel the same sensations we're used to (full, hunger, etc.). HTH Pam

I am about the same. But I do get full...especially when I catch myself eating too fast. I can eat quite a bit of salad...but after I add the protein, it goes down to smaller amounts.
