I want to thank everyone for their responses. It sounds like most of you can eat almost anything except for smaller portions, but a few of you are having similar problems to what I have. I am going to try and get in to the dietitian by the end of the month and see what she thinks. Thanks again, everyone. Hugs, Ellie

Ellie, Sorry to hear about the problems! Here's my schedule: Breakfast: South Beach Diet High Protein Cereal Bar 10 gm protein Snack: Pecans Lunch: South Beach Diet frozen meal or wrap 22-28 gm protein Dinner: chicken, fish, (I had think pork chop last week and it's ok), eggs and a veggie 20-25 gm protein Snack: sf pudding cup and handful of almonds if I'm not at my protein goals Snack: Skinny latte from SB! I have no real problems with eating. I tried ground beef last week and it was fine as well as the pork chop. Only dumped on Salmon (2X) and baby back ribs but that was right at 6 weeks and I don't think I chewed it good enough. The salmon is too dry. I forced myself at about 8 weeks to go off of the liquid protein and EAT my protein. It was tough, but I'm doing it now. I hope you can get some satisfaction!

I love the Slim Fast drinks for breakfast. I mix with whey protein; flax seed oil; sugar free pudding (2 teaspoons) and/or banana, strawberries or blueberries. Lunch consists of another Slim Fast drink. Dinner is meat (chicken, beef, or pork) and some veggies. I tried some bar-b-que, but it was too stringy and I won't try it again. My doctor discourages snacks, but sometimes I eat sugar free jello or sugar free popscicles (these are great). I can eat most anything, but try to stay with proteins first; veggies second; and fruit sometimes if room permits. I've had 3 adjustments since surgery on November 27.
