Nothing tastes good anymore! Right after surgery, I loved the EAS Advantage drinks, now I can't stand them. I don't like Isopure anymore either. Any advice for a quick, easy protein drink?

Are you still unable to get your protein through foods? I am just about a week after you time-wise, and I rarely use a protein drink anymore...I probably only have a carnation instant breakfast when I am on the run or have an early meeting...Are you a yogurt eater? I have become "addicted" to Greek yogurt...A 5oz cup has about 13g of protein in it...I add a little Splenda and/or some applesauce and it is one of my favorite snacks! It really puts me ahead on the protein! ~Jenn

Try putting a little bit of vanilla in as well. It makes it taste like French Vanilla Yogurt.

Hi. I'm also struggling to get enough protein since going back to work this week. I ordered Beneprotein from the internet to mix in food and drinks (not supposed to have any flavor). Got it today. Will see how that goes. Have you tried Boost High Protein drinks? They have 15 grams of protein. Not sure how the taste compares to EAS. Haven't had EAS in a year or two. Hang in there!

I drink a protein drink called Syntrax Nectar (I use Chocolate Truffle flavor). It tastes like chocolate milk. I mix one scoup with ~six ounces of water. It has 23grams protein and 100 calories. After struggling with a lot of different shakes, this one is super easy to get down for me. I even take it with me when I travel and mix it up by simply shaking the water and powder together in a bottle and it mixes perfectly. Kelly

I make an orange cream shake. I get the vanilla protein from Wal-mart. I add a Sugar free orange popsicle, skim milk and 1 scoop of protien. put it in the bullet for about 10 secs. It is great. THe scoop of protien has 23 gr plus the little extra from the milk. Taste great. Even my non dieting family loves them.

GNC has a product called Designer Whey that I used when I was newly postop, because I couldn't stand vanilla or chocolate. The orange mango tastes almost like Tang. Maybe you just need a change of taste. I only do one shake a day now, for breakfast. The rest of my protein comes from food.

The only way I was able to find a protein powder I liked was to try a whole bunch of samples. I ordered the 21-flavor protein powder sample pack from www.enjoyhealth.com I was able to try different flavors and brands without spending a fortune on big jars of powder. I posted a list of websites in my profile that sell samples of protein powder. I personally love the Nectar Chocolate Truffle and I make it into protein hot cocoa for my morning commute. Usually this is the only protein drink I have for the day - otherwise I'm getting the rest of my protein from food. I also found Carb Master Yogurt (Kroger brand) and it has 12g of protein in a cup. The strawberry is my favorite, but there's also vanilla, raspberry and peach. this works great for breakfast or a snack during the day. It takes a lot of work and focus to hit your protein goals everyday and some days I feel like I'm thinking about protein all day long. But it's been getting easier as I find more high protein snacks and establish routines with my eating plan. Pam

I found a good whey protien shake from vitamin world for 15.00 for 3 lbs. I also use the protien bullets, although they don't actually call them bullets at that store but they are bullet shaped, sort of and have 42 grams of protein in 3.5 ozs of liquid. I drink it straight but some add it to water for a juice. I drink 1/2 of one at a time and they are inexpensive. you can go to bariactriceating.com and order them online if you want also. They come in only 3 flavors, that sorta sucks but it works for me. Jeannie
