Weight Loss To Date
Just thought I'd post a new thread, so we can see how everybody is doing! As of today, Im down 43 pounds. Doesn't feel like enough, but I'm trying not to let it get me down. I just keep telling myself that no matter what the scale is finally going in the right direction. And just because I'm always curious about others, I'm 5'4 and started out at 304.5.
Hi to everyone! I too did not know there was a message board for those who had surgery around the same time. That is great! This way I can see if I'm on target as others who had surgery in November 2007. My RNY was on Nov 5, 2007 and I'm down 55 lbs. I see others like Angie has lost 67lbs. That is great. I hope I am losing the way I'm suppose to because sometimes I wonder '' am I losing at all " I would love to hear from those who had surgery in November 2007
Happy Losing!!!!!!!!!!
Hello all I have lost 58 pounds to date had an open RNY on Nov 7th but it sure feels slow and I hit days when quit a few go by and nothing is gone then I get on the scale and lose 4 pounds I guess everyone is different but it gets frustrating I know i need to get my water up I have to because the dr told me if I drank it all daily I would see a good difference.. and staying on sch. for exercises wow thats hard with my work sch. I am hoping to get better at that also. take care Nov surg pals.. this board helps .. I live so far from my support group so this is my support thanks all.. cathy
Hi everyone. Just checking in. I had lap RNY on Nov 15. I am 5'2'' and started at 237. Today, I'm 195 (down 42 pounds in 11.5 weeks). It's good to hear others are a little discontent with the slowness of loss (as that's my every day thought!****ep thinking of the bigger picture . . . like the changes to my lifestyle I am making. I'm not sure why but exercise is somehow easier and more fulfilling post RNY. I am making smarter food choices, and doing it with healthy variety and good tasting food. (Can you tell I have to remind myself of this all the time?!) I'm enjoying that I have strong, healthy fingernails for the first time in my life. I think it's all the protein and the vitamins.
Hi guys.
I too just discovered the "by date" site. I had my surgery on Nov. 12th. I started out at 311 and am currently at 245. That is a total of 66 pounds. I really haven't gotten discouraged yet. I know pre surgery it would not have even been possible to lose this amount in even double this time. So every pound that comes off no matter how slow is better than gaining even one.
Everyone seems to be doing a good job. We just have to keep positive and look at the difference in our clothes already. I sometimes try and wear shirts that I wore post surgery and my family laughs at me and says "mom I don't think so. You are swimming it" so that really makes me feel good.
Prays to you all.
