I had my surgery on Nov 30th and all went well until a couple of weeks ago I started feeling light headed when I stand up. I tried to get through to the dr and even scheduled an apt but it went away(mostly). Now it has come back in the worst way and I can't get into see the do****il wed. Anyone have the same thing?? I need help, please reply to me as soon as you can. Jeannie

Hi Jeannie- Are you getting in enough water? I was told that you can become orthostatic (dizzy when getting up) from dehydration...I also tried adding just a little salt to my food and that seemed to help...Checking your protein grams is also important...Good luck...If it gets worse, I would call your surgeon's office and at least speak to a nurse or PA...they could help over the phone... ~Jenn

I will try that. I am getting the protein, but only about 40oz of water a day. I have been trying to get more, it is just so hard. Thanks for the help. Jeannie

I agree with Jenn. I experienced this twice, and it was due to dehydration.

Hopefully by now you've been able to figure out what the problem is. but I recently had the same problem. Turned out to be my blood pressure. My doctor took me off my high BP meds because my readings were running VERY low (85/40 to 100/60). He said that once the medication is totally out of my system that my blood pressure should get back up into the normal range. Good luck Pam

That is too funny. I did go to see the doc and he did the same to me. My BP was VERY low as well. He started by cutting my BP meds in half and two weeks later took me off it totally. I am 99% back to normal, it is just taking time to work through my system and all will be good in another week or so. I am glad that you found your problem as well. And no I didn't mean it was funny that you went through feeling dizzy. What I meant was that it was funny that we both went through the same thing over the same thing. ~Jeannie~
