Surgery Date is 11/26 anyone else out there have this date?

Hello Everyone, My surgery date is 11/26 , after Thanksgiving, while evryone is out shopping I will be in the hospital healing! Surgery Time is for 10:30 am , Dr. Jooesph Regan is doing the gastric bypass RNY. I aam not scared at all, the only thing that I am concerned about is my back! I had a spinal fusion done in 6/05 and I have been on narcotics since 11/03, and my goal is to loos the weight, and get off the narcotics! I take Advil everyday 800mg 3 to 4 times a day but I know we can't be taken that ! So we are trying lidocaine patches, so we will see how they work! anyone out there with a painful back, arthritis, and taking any narcotics? or at lease have had to be in a similiar situation? Hi! I am scheduled for a DS on the 26th! I am so bummed to miss Thanksgiving (dr. makes us do a 5-day liquid diet prior to) but it will be worth it!
