My surgery date is 11-08 and I have been feeling fine and following pre-op diet and suddenly yesterday I developed terrible heartburn. Could this be nerves? I can't figure out what happened. Has this happened to anyone else? HELP!

Yes, heartburn could be caused by nerves or stress. Have you tried Tums or anything? If it continues, maybe contact the surgeon's office --- the nutritionist might have a suggestion on how to treat it.
