Surgery date changed

Saw my surgeon yesterday and he moved my date from the 19th to the 14th!!!! woo hoo. Anyone else have the same date?

If they called on Monday and asked me to come down asap, i would so be there!! Are you doing a pre-op diet or anything?

I think I am very very very lucky in that I do not have to do a required pre-op diet. My surgeon just has you do the every fun "cleanse" the day before. I am doing on my own 2 protein shakes a day and one meal. Really trying hard to not do the "last supper" thing. Its hard but I think I will be better off in the long run if I don't think as if I will NEVER eat certain things again. I agree that if they called me in the am I would FLY right down as fast as I could....its the waiting now that is making me a little nutty. BUt all in good time I guess, I've waited this long whats 17 days right! Do you have to do a pre-op diet? I find it interesting that surgeons can differ so much in their requirements.

Gl luck shana, my open RNY is the 7th of Nov I go up on the 30th to do all my pre op stuff with the surgeon's office then go back on the 6th because i have a 170 mile trip to make from home to the hosp. south dakota is pretty spread out only two big city's that does this type of surgery . I'm more concerned about the trip home. take care and I'm with you I'd do it right now I hate the wait. but not to much longer for me only 10 oh wait tommorrow is 9 days away YESSSS take care Cathy
