I have a web gallery set up with all the 158 pictures I took... LOL.... If you send me your email address I can email you the link.... I think I had it before, but I lost my address book on my computer the other day....
I have spent the last day and a half trying to work with my BIL and recover about half of them... Just PM me your email and I will get that out... OH and BTW we left with about 4 pounds of fudge... OMG.. we got butterfinger, chocolate, mint, peanut butter, double chocolate mocha, blueberry and chocolate tornado (peanut butter swirl).... There was sooo much more I wanted to get too... OMG!!! That is all I can say about their fudge.... and the let you try it before you buy it too... I believe they said there are 17 fudge shops on the island.... Not the best place for a post op bariatric patient to be, but at least there is lots of walking to work off the samples... LOL... I gotta get the dust off my treadmill now so I can eat a little fudge each day... ROFLMBO...... OH and I help getting through the trip by way of my doctor... She gave me an RX for Ativan before I left... I don't know how much it helped on the bus ride, but during the trip we had a great time....
Well anyway... send me your email and I will get the link to my gallery for you....

Topic: Getting back into the groove
Things are still slow around here so I'm report on my last few days! I had a follow up with the PS on Tuesday. He pulled out a couple of stitches that I didn't even know were there and tonight my husband cut another one out! Hopefully, that's all of them. I'm still swollen but other people say they can't tell it. I guess they just think I have super fat cheeks! When I finish this post, I'll put a picture on my profile from last week. They look pretty good but I'm more swollen in the mornings.
I've been getting back into my regular exercise routine this week even though I started teaching again last week. I've done a Spinning class, an aerobics class and been on the treadmill, Elliptical and Stairmaster. Getting the heartrate up there and getting the endurance back. I worked my calves so hard on two machines yesterday that they are killing me! I had to have my husband massage them this afternoon and now I really barely walk! Tomorrow's class I'm teaching is going to be called Fast Friday and they had better be ready to work. We're going to do a Kickboxing warm-up then fast squats, then they will walk on the track for a couple of rounds before going back to strength moves, then back to cardio stuff. They won't get a break either! My dogs are getting lots of walks too so I'm burning the calories this week.
I started going to a chiropractor too. Tomorrow is my third session this week. It's going to be expensive but if it works, it will be worth it. I can live with my back issues but if I can get totaly relief, I'll be thrilled. Physical therapy didn't do it and I hate to think about the shots one orthopedist recommended.
What are your plans for the holiday? There are a series of dog shows in our area at this time every year so we hope to hit one of those. We'll do a long bike ride too. My husband wants to see the Indiana Jones movie. We don't have any big plans though. I'm off Monday but my husband is off tomorrow and Monday.
Come one, let's get some action going! Valorie, I had a front loading machine in Europe and wasn't wild about it. Right now I have a top loader but it doesn't have an aggitator so it's sort of like yours. We don't like it either!

Shawn,
Thanks so much for the post! If I get there, I'll have to try that fudge! You sound like you are doing really well now! I'm glad! Please post some of those great pictures on your profile. I'd love to see them. What's the latest on the almost here grandbaby?

CeCe,
No we did not stay at the Grand Hotel.... I wouldn't even imagine if I saved for a year that I could afford a room there... It cost $20 a person just to walk on their porch (soemthing like that I think)... LOL...
We didn't actually stay on the island.. we stayed across the lake in Mackinac City, then spent the day on the island... we did a carriage tour, visited Fort Mackinac, got lots of fudge and trinkets to bring home for everyone... I have been eating the fudge, but only a tiny nibble each day... it is soooooooo good... There is nothing more sinful in the world than Mackinac Island Fudge.... We also went to the butterfly emporium and I got tons of great pictures.... Needless to say we did lots of walking.... It was also a 5 hour bus ride there and back with a bus load of 4th graders... OMG!!!!! What an experience... And I will get to do it 3 more times over the course of the next 5 years with my other kids.... It sure was a nice break from the daily routines and the bills and the stress and everything.... They even had BAKED COD in the buffet for dinner Monday night and was delicious.... Of course I also some things I shouldn't have eaten, but I did weigh in after I got home and I didn't gain... Woooo Hooooo!!!!
OH.. about that movie... I never knew about them filming up there until we were on the carriage tour and they took us by the gazebo where that one scene was shot at... It was so beautiful.... Do you know they book 4 years in advance for weddings there... It is just crazy.... I am going to have to see that movie now.... LOL
If you find that the "Grand Hotel" is too expensive there is another hotel on the island that I stayed at about 12 years ago and it is call Mission Point... Gorgeous hotel right on the point of the island... It is a long walk from the docks, but soooo worth it... If you go next year you will have to let me know how you liked it.... I am sure you will have a great time.... The aroma has something to be desired though with all those horses trotting around.... but you get used to it... LOL...
Well, sorry for writing a book.... I will be sure to check in next week for the weigh in...
HUGS,
Shawn M.

Oh, Shawn, I've always wanted to go there!!! I'm sure if you were on a school trip you didn't stay in that wonderful hotel, did you? My husband's favorite movie is "Somewhere In Time" and I was just thinking yesterday of surprising him with a trip to that hotel next year!

Topic: RE: This has absolutely nothing to do with wls, but...
WOW! Wellbutrin and Tradone are both listed as antidepressants and I have not seen them administered to my kids with ADHD. I have one student on my case load that has anxiety issues that they tried on Tradone but the sleepiness side effect was too much and they took him off. I wonder what the diagnosis is. I do see Clonidine administered sometimes to my ADHD kids but it is always in conjunction with a stimiulant medication (ritalin, Adderall, Concerta - that class of drug).
I'm no expert but the medication shouldn't be making him sleep all the time. I hope that you can help get it sorted out.

Phyllis,
Good to hear from you. Hey, maintaining is success! How often did we maintain in the past?! Planning is difficult for me too. I have the best intentions but I procrastinate!

Deb,
Congrats on the new smaller size!!! I'm glad you had not taken the tags off so you can exchange everything! Good to hear from you. That 2 pounds will be gone soon.
