Wanda, I'll bet you get plenty of looks on the way to and from work too!!! Loved reading this!!! Last week I thought I was looking pretty hot when I stopped for a smoothie. I parked a good bit away from the place and was walking down the sidewalk when a guy (probably 40) said "hi" and started making small talk with me. I didn't think anything about it until he turned and started walking along side me. Then it struck me that maybe he wa****ting on me! Now, this was a very upscale development - one of those town center places with nice shops and a big town square with a gazebo and apartments and houses so I wasn't freaked out or anything! Anyway, as I turned to go into the smoothie bar, he introduces himself and hands me a flyer for his business!!!! Hey, Wanda, you got a free oil change! All I got was a business flyer! The guy was just trying to sell me something!!!! CeCe

Topic: RE: Cherry Pits
Corinna, I have just one question! Was it a Mount Rainier cherry pit? I finally found some today and it's a miracle I haven't swallowed one yet!!! Well, as someone who has swallowed whole BIG pills since before I got out of the hospital, I'm hoping you won't have any trouble. Of course, those pills dissolve! Still, pay attention but I'm hoping you won't have any problem! Hey, how did you manage to do that? It's funny but Monday something reminded me of when I was five years old and swallowed a watermelon seed. Another kid told me a watermelon was going to grow in my tummy and I was so scared that I ran into the house and burst straight into the bathroom where my mother was taking a bath. God, that scared me about as much as the fear of a watermelon seed! I saw her pubic hair probably for the first time!!!!! So, isn't it strange that about 50 years later I had my almos****ermelon sized tummy cut off?????? Maybe that seed did grow into a watermelon!!!!!!!! Good luck, Corinna! CeCe

Topic: RE: So many questions...
Wanda, 1. Count your blessings! It is great that you can eat without having to count every calory/carb. Evidently you are active enough and eat within your bodies BMR. With our surgeries we may seem to eat out of control but you are probably still eating relatively small portions. If you are like many of us, you probably still stay away from sugar and fat so that you don't feel bad. Like I said count your blessings and don't stress over why. If you see a gain, then think about it. 2. Every doctor seems to think the answer to any eating issue is depression. I suggest you get off the Welbutrin as soon as possible. Don't go cold turkey though. It can cause mixed signals in your brain and make you feel really bad. 3. You probably have an absorption issue with protein. Maybe your body doesn't absorb it well. That would explain the deficiency and the issue in #1. No absorption = no calories to make you gain. 4. My veins are large now too. At least some of them. I was always a hard stick. Not anymore. I always contributed it to the amount of fluis/water I now drink. I thought I drank alot pre-op but now I KNOW I drink a lot! If you are good about getting your quota- then maybe this is the answer you seek. Wow, you sure are a curious little thing! Good for you. I miss being on the board everyday. I hope to have a home computer soon. Hugs, Valorie

Topic: Cherry Pits
OMG I swallowed a cherry pit just now and am totally freaking out about it. I don't even swallow any pills whole anymore. I called my surgeon's office and they said it shouldn't be an issue but if I start feeling weird call them right away. Who (above the age of 5) swallows cherry pits for crying out loud. I don't think I've ever done that before in my life. I'm sure I'm freaking out about nothing...I can't imagine it's big enough to actually get stuck but still...yikes! Corinna Q

That's awesome!! I just love the extra looks I get now. But at the same time it makes me mad to know they would have looked right through me before even though I'm the same person. Oh well...I guess we get to enjoy it now and all the perks like free oil changes Corinna Q
