Oh, Wanda, I'm so sorry! Poor baby! I just had an image of your next trip there. You might attract attention though! I see you in a bike helmet, knee pads, elbows pads and combat boots!!!

Hello November buddies,
Well, it's been a fabulous week for me. After going over into the 200s again by not taking my diuretics on vacation (imagine that!), I have come back into ONEderland big time!! I got back on my diuretics religiously, and decided to monitor EVERYTHING I have been eating. My plan was to stick to a low-carb, low-fat food program (notice I did not say DIET!) and plan my meals everyday. Well, I have done fantastic on this!! It makes me wonder why I ever stopped!?!? I feel great (also, thanks to some steroids - contact dermatitis from DW) and although I haven't gone to the gym since I"ve been back, I have been working my tail off in my house. In fact, yesterday, I handwashed three vehicles and vacuumed two of them!!
With all that being said, here are my stats for this week:
Weight, day of surgery: 312.4
Last week: 202.8
This week: 187.6
Loss: 15.2 lbs (can you believe it?????)
(actually about 10 lbs of this was fluid)
Total: 124.8
Current BMI: 31.1
Hope everyone has a great week ahead!!
Hugs,
Deidrah

Hello All,
Sorry I am a bit late with this. I was up at 4am ... but buzzing around doing stuff and before I knew it it was 8 am, time to bring Victoria to school (10 days and counting!) Had to stop a few stores and in 15 minutes i'll be back in the car to get her! Jeesh
I know I have to really get back to basics ... I've been slacking and it shows.
NO MORE EXCUSES!
I * AM * DOING * THIS * TODAY *
This is *short and sweet* weigh in post!
Highest weight - 250.5
Lowest weight - 139
Goal weight - 142
Current weight - 152
Up / down from previous weigh in - + 10
A step in the wrong direction for me
Hope all of you had a better week than I did with the scale.
Hugs,
Britt

yeah but isn't it awesome that you were able to do all that? One of my friends had almost the same experience at a water park about a year after her surgery. She came home with a black eye and bruised knees. Apparently water parks can be dangerous for us newly thin folks
I hope you still had fun!
We finally had a beautiful warm day today. I think it actually hit 70ish. Hopefully that means summer is here soon!!

Randy and I took our grandsons to the water park. I fell down a water slide and hurt my elbow. It's so bruised! Then a raft that we were riding on turned upside down and I hit my head on both sides. My neck is sore and I have two lumps on my head! Randy's knee is black from a big bruise. This active lifestyle is dangerous!
The kids seem fine, though!

Topic: Thanks for helping me pick a dress
Randy came home Friday night and vetoed the green one because it just couldn't be pulled up to cover my boobs. I posted the one he chose (I think it was Britt's choice too!). I was so apprehensive about going sleeveless, but I was glad I did. It seemed appropriate for the wedding. Thanks again! You guys are great!

They all look nice, but I think I like the one with the red jacket the best.... Hope you have a good time at the wedding.... Just remember whatever you wear you want to be comfortable....

My reaction to wine varies. Most of the time less than a half glass I'm pretty darn happy. Every once in awhile though I can drink two and hardly feel it. And if I've eaten or not doesn't really seem to matter in the least.
Food definitely varies in reaction though. Sometimes I'll eat something that I eat all the time and I'm suddenly horribly sick because of it. Then when I try it again I'll be fine. I sometimes wonder if I build up a nontolerance to something if I eat it on a regular basis and my body decides it's had too much of that particular food. Because once I get sick on something I quit eating it for quite a while so when I go back to it it will have been out of my system. I know...that sounds totally far fetched but I definitely think it happens with sugar. If I have medium amounts of sweets, not enough to make me sick in any one sitting, for several days in a row on about the third day of doing that I'll have the same amount I've been eating and I'll totally dump. It's all very different from before surgery, that's for sure!
