Welcome back Britt it's so good to see your smiling face every Monday.
I am really struggling with sweets and not exercising. I know why I'm gaining and I know how to stop but I can't seem to motivate myself to stop. I hate it when my clothes get tight.
We're so busy with baseball and something going on every night. We're going to the lake this weekend so hopefully I'll get in some swimming. It's been so cold we haven't even been out in our boat.
So my goals for the week are to limit sweets and exercise at least 5 times.

Corinna,
I love going in Whole Foods and just looking! I'm just glad there isn't one close to my house. I go when I have a PS appointment but luckily I can't spend hundreds of dollars then because of the drive!
I don't know how you resist the temptation!

CeCe,
Don't I know it. Those carbs are just monsters! I had to MAKE myself walk past the amazing bulk foods with the yummiest trail mixes ever aisle at Whole Foods this morning and move on to the veggies. Thankfully Whole Foods has the most amazing veggies too
So I'm sitting here munching on snap peas trying to ignore the "give me sugar" urges nailing me every two minutes or so. Ug! this is going to be a tough day. And we are having our quarterly office meeting in five minutes with TONS of bad-for-you food laid out. Including three dozen Top Pot Doughnuts (another favorite).
Wish me luck!
Corinna

Corinna,
Isn't it crazy how eating the less than complex carbs can reverberate for days making it hard to get back on track? You can do it. You have been doing super fantastic on low carbs and losing like crazy so do what works!!
Congrats on the PS consult. I've seen your posts on the PS site and there's a load of info on that site. Read it all but remember not everyone has the crazy complications! You might even see 3 surgeons before deciding but go with the one you feel most comfortable with (as long as they have a lot of experience!). I''m thrilled with my results and so glad that my surgeon had so much experience with WLS patients. In fact, prior to becoming a PS, my surgeon performed weight loss surgeries.

WOW! Deidrah, those diuretics sure did their job but don't discount the work YOU did! Fantastic! You're back and you are STRONG! You are an inspiration to me to keep better track of my intake!

Morning, Britt! It's so good to have you back where you belong! Stay strong and you will be back in the 140s this week! You will stick to your plan and once you get a few good days under your belt, you'll be totally back on track!
Weekends are still HARD for me. It's too easy to snack and just eat too much overall. We grilled out Saturday night and even though everything was healthy, I just ate too much! I simply have to plan for my weekend meals and STICK TO MY PLAN!
Stats:
Beginning Weight: 245.25
This Week: 130.75 (up)
Total Loss: 114.50
BMI: 22.4

Hi Corinna -
Isn't it AMAZING?
I am like you I eat carbs (the bad ones) and gain - gain - gain!
You sound like you mean business. Let's see how SERIOUS we are when we hit the scale next week! I want to see a LOWER # -- I know I will if I stick to my plan.
Congrats on your PS consult. I had one scheduled for today but canceled it .... $$$$$
let us know what the next Dr says.

Good Morning Everyone!!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We finally had sunny weather in the PNW and it's still sunny and beautiful today. It's days like this that make living here totally worth it because it is just so stunningly gorgeous!!
I had an interesting week. I ended up going to my first consult for PS. I wasn't supposed to go until this week but they had a cancellation and got me in unexpectedly. I had been kind of ambivalent about the whole thing but now am totally excited. Of course I have to figure out how in the world I'm going to pay for it...but one step at a time. I have another consult in July. I want to get at least two opinions as this Doc said he recommended a LBL for me to be truely happy with the results and I had thought I could get away with just doing a TT. Anyway, I'll go ask the other Doc the same thing I asked this one and see what he says. I really like this one, he made me feel really comfortable, was very straight forward with his recommendations and why he was making them. Didn't blow off my concern about being able to sing and how long it would take before I could really sing after surgery. It was great.
Unfortunately I did not have a better week than you Britt. *sigh* But I"m not at all surprised. Both David and I went off the low carb thing yesterday for Father's day. And while I didn't pig out (I was very proud of myself for that) I did have a lot more carbs than normal and I know when I do that my weight shoots up. Sure enough it did. Back to 155 today. But I know that will drop off again quickly being back on low carb. On Thursday I was at 152 (which was a loss from last Monday) though so low carb is working, slowly but surely. At this point I don't think I can expect to drop the last 10 pounds in a week, darn it all
This week I'm going to hit the low carb again. I'm already finding it difficult since I got off of it for a day. I'm not going to let the excuses creep in!!
I want to hit the water intake big time this week too. Keeping up with exercise and am looking at changing up my workouts a little bit. The pool at my apartment complex opened this weekend so I think I'll add at least one swimming session into my routine for cardio.
I think that's it for me.
Everyone have a wonderful week!!!

Wanda,
You look fantastic! All the choices were great and you would have looked wonderful in any of the 3 but I'm glad you had the courage to go sleeveless! By the way, there's no reason you should feel self-conscious of your arms. They look toned and fantastic!! Keep 'em bare!
