Devrom is a chewable tablet that neutralizes gas odors. It's made for people that have had bypass surgery or have a colostomy. Check out devrom.com. If you are consistent in taking it, it does work.

Oh yeah...I know what you mean. I always only get simply Jiff which is lower carb. It's not as sweet so I'm not tempted to eat as much of it. There is NO way I'd be able to resist chocolate peanut butter!!! Reeses Peanut Butter cups are one of my all time FAVORITE candies. And unfortunately I discovered that they are low enough in sugar that they don't make me sick to eat them...bad, bad, bad!!! At least we're learning what we can and can't resist and take steps to help ourselves resist the ones we can't...like not buying them, most of the time

Actually, how interesting that you mention this. I've recently (last four months or so) have started having a lot more gas than I ever did. I'm super sensative to malitol, which I never was before, any dried fruit, nuts to a certain extent. They produce huge amounts of gas. Most of the time it's oderless (thank God!!!) but I get terribly bloated and it's painful and embarrassing because of course it's still noisy
Anyway, do you do anything else to control the actual gas? And what is devrom? I use the gas x strips and they help some.

1. 1308 calories, 45 g carbs, 89 g protien
2. couple more days
3. jelly bellys...I couldn't resist them...thus the reason my carbs are well over 30
4. 40 oz.
5. none
6. drink more water. Although I didn't get to 60 oz I did get more than I normally do on a weekend day so I'm pretty happy with that.
7. get to 142 - well, probably didn't do so great, higher than normal calories and definitely higher than normal carbs. But I'm not too concerned with it. Afterall I didn't go nuts.
8. I think I felt like letting go a little bit since my disappoitment with the scale. And maybe adding a few calories will actually help since I had been getting pretty low. It sure is a fine line we walk

If you have constipation problems, try taking Magnesium. I started taking it for bone health, but an added benefit is that I'm never constipated anymore!

) Calories in: Sorry to say that I'm still not tracking
2) Calories burned: Hmm...it looks like 45 minutes of INTENSE weight training only netted about 280 calories!
3) Successes / challenges: My co-workers enouraged me to order the wonderful chicken salad sandwich or wrap from Arby's. I had the foresight to look it up on the internet first. 736 calories! The sad thing is---I have eaten that before.
4) Water intake: 100 ounces--but I did have caffeine so that negates some of it.
5) Vtamin supplement taken: Always.
6) Mini goal for this week: I wanted to exercise every day and I did have a great exercise week. Very intense.
7) What is your Big goal: My big goal should be to track my intake. I really haven't even given it much thought.

Yep--I have the PB2 in the pantry. It's ok, but not nearly as good as the high-fat version! I'm like Corrina, I don't add peanut butter to shakes because it's just extra calories. Besides, the Whey Gourmet Chocolate Peanut is fantastic all by itself.
My goal with the high calorie shakes was to pack on the pounds for nursing home residents who are starting to lose weight. So with that I use high fat cream, high fat peanut butter, premium ice cream, etc. It was so hard to even think in those terms! I'm trying to prove to our dietitian that we should always try food first before jumping to other interventions. I actually had to threaten to fire her yesterday. I hope she gets on board, because I just hate to fire people. But sometimes they make me do it! I consider it their choice, because I always tell them what they need to do to not be fired!
