Topic: Tonight's Chat
I just wanted to let you all know that are going to be there, that I won't be able to show up this week.... First of all, I haven't gotten my book yet, so I haven't been able to read the assigned pages... Secondly, we have out of town family showing up today and they are spending the night before they head back to GA... We haven't seen my husbands brother in years and I have never met his wife, so it would be kind of rude of me to get online and go into a chat.... I will be there next week though.... I will catch up with the thread that is supposed to be posted about the chat.... Thanks for understanding... HUGS, Shawn M.

1. 1229 calories, 45 g carbs, 107 g protien 2. 220 - upper body workout. Also went for a 15 minute walk which isn't figured in to the calories burned. 3. See my "sugar everywhere" post earlier today for my massive challenge today. I managed to not eat anything more than the bite of cake and the one biscotti. I posted to you guys, I e-mailed my boyfriend and then called one of my best friends and talked on the phone for 20 minutes. By the time I got off my lunch had digested and I wasn't feeling hungry anymore so I was able to stay out of the kitchen. But boy there were a few scary minutes where I seriously just wanted to sit there and inhale everything. It wasn't so pretty. 4. 50 oz 5. took them all! 6. drink more water, spaced out. I managed to get a little more in today. It still has to be a constant reminder to myself to take sips every few minutes. 7. Maintain my weight and current eating plan. As said above today was a difficult day and I definitely went over my carbs. But I did get my protien up today so that was good and my calories maintained below 1300. I notice that I am definitely more hungry when I'm working out. Last week I was fine to only be eating 800-1000 calories but this week I am pretty hungry by mid morning (I work out first thing in the morning). The protien shake I do for breakfast doesn't cut it past about 9:30.

so one of the really bad things about working at the Whole Foods regional corporate office where all of the regional buyers work is that they constantly have samples coming in. Yesterday our bakery person had about 6 bakery vendors come in with samples. Now they are all sitting on the counter in the kitchen...free to anyone. I am going to DIE!!! I can't handle this. I've already had a bite of chocolate cake and a biscotti and all I want to do is go back in there and eat MORE. There is this amazing gooey chocoloate mint cake with amazing chocolate frosting, a flouress chocolate cake, pumpkin cranberry cake, cranberry biscotti, walnut canberry cake, about ten different kinds of mini pastries with fruit fillings, a couple different kinds of scones, muffins...and so on a so forth. Literally there are about 30 different packages of amazing bakery items. How in the he** am I going to resist them for another...oh God it's not even 1pm...3 1/2 hours??????? Just shoot me now! Pray for me ladies!! Corinna Q

Val, Please do cheer yourself on!!! We all need to do more of it. I think we tend to get fixated on the bad stuff and punishing ourselves and forget about praising ourselves for the great stuff we do. I'm still not a huge shopping fan but it is way more fun to be picking up size 10 dresses than size 24. And the dresses are way cuter!!! Keep up the great work. Corinna Q

1) Total: 1071 Fat: 27 242 24% Sat: 5 44 4% Poly: 5 48 5% Mono: 10 94 9% Carbs: 99 346 34% Fiber: 13 0 0% Protein: 108 432 42% Alcohol: 0 0 0% I was a bit high on carbs but these included oatmeal an apple, squash and mixed green vegetables. So mostly good carbs except for the 100 cal packs of oreo's and popcorn, I know bad but at least controlled portions. 2) about 400 burned- I got back to the gym today! YEAH ME! I forgot how good it makes me feel. 3) Success today- stayed on track, tracked my food, skipped the doughnuts in the breakroom- YEAH ME! 4)Water- 80 oz- YEAH ME! 5)Yep- got em all 6)Mini goal for week- exercise 3 gym days and 2 abs days at home- 1 down, 4 to go- YEAH ME! 7)Big Goal- get to 145 lbs-today I was not perfect but I was GOOD. YEAH ME! 8)I hope you guys don't get tire of me cheering. Another of my big goals is to give myself more credit. It is so hard to be *nice* to me. Also wanted to share a WOW moment for me. This weekend I went shopping with a girlfriend. I haven't been shopping to buy clothing since before the fire. There was a huge sale at Goodies and I went straight to the racks. I was looking and picking up dresses when my girlfriend came over to ask what I was doing. Looking at her puzzled, I said duh, getting some clothes to try on. She then grabbed my arm and drug me out of the plus size section to the "regular" section. I had not even thought about it. I just automatically went to the "old me" clothes. Turns out, I picked up size 14 dresses. They were too big! Then I got size 12....they were too big. Then 10's....I am a size 10 with room to spare! Yeah Me! To borrow Wanda's expression....I am Lovin' My New Life! Thanks for letting me share. Hugs, Val;

1. 958 calories, 38 g carbs, 68 g protien 2. 250 walking serious hills on the treadmill. Man did it feel good to get back to working out!!! It's a day early but nothing hurt so I think I'm okay 3. major snack attacks today. Some bakery person came and brought samples and I ended up eating half of an amazing white chocolate cranberry cookie. Then I just wanted to keep eating sugar sugar sugar. Managed to avoid anything else, ate most of an apple in desperation and that did helped but also helped bring my carbs above what I'm allowed. 4. probably only 40 today. 5. took them all!! 6. drink more water but spaced out - didn't work so well, kept forgetting that I was supposed to be drinking the water in the bottle sitting in front of me all day. Sheesh. 7. Maintain my weight and keep in line with my current eating habits. Although my carbs were a little high and protien a little low I did manage to keep myself mostly in line. 8. Monday's are hard for some reason with the snacking. especially when there are baked good sitting out all over the place!!! Ug! Tomorrow is another day.
