Good Morning! I had an off week last week I had 2 solid days of sleeping and then back to normal. I was terrible about exercise and eating and posting. I did enjoy our Beck chat and will sign up for the Yahoo when I get home. I lost 2.4 pounds and am feeling pretty good about that. I'm really working on saying no and making better choices. I did make some meals so I would have lunches and not have to think about what to bring. We're off to the cabin on the 4th through the 8th so I'm excited about that. I will indulge in too many sweets but generally I exercise in the water quite a bit too. This week I'm focusing on exercise and not so much snacking I would love to see the scale go down a little more. Everyone have a fabulous week Deb

Good Morning everyone! Well, summer finally arrived in the pacific northwest. We went from highs of 65 to the mid 90's this weekend. Of course we all died because we're not used to the heat and few of us have AC at our homes. For the one month a year we need it it just seems silly. My scale stayed steady this week at 155. Although I'd still love to see it go down I'm resigned to that not happening so I'm pleased that I maintained which was my goal. My mini goal this week is to make a meal plan each night for the next day. Although I'm great at tracking food I already eat I often have unplanned eating. Even though, for the most part, I stick with "allowed" foods, I think it would be helpful to know exactly what and when my next meal is going to be. That way when temptation does arise I'll know how long I have to wait. I'm going to plan 6 mini meals so there isn't ever a huge gap inbetween eating (those are the times I'm most tempted). Hopefully this can also regulate the amount of protien I'm getting so it is more consistent. My overall goal - maintain my current weight and eating plan. Everyone have a wonderful week and fun 4th of July weekend! Corinna Q

1. Calories In: 1251 according to computer (probably closer to 1400 with human error!) Fats: 35 Protein 100 Carbs (don't read this, Corinna!) 143 - again, lots of fruit and I also had ground turkey chili with beans for lunch (homemade and prepared low fat!). 2. Exercise: 1 hour strength training, 1 hour Spinning, 45 minutes of aerobics, walking. Lots of calories burned during Spinning at least! 3. We were tempted to go out to eat tonight but I told my husband I was trying so hard to be "good." We came home and grilled chicken. 4. I should track my fluids closely but I do so well on them that I don't usually keep close track anymore. I love shaved ice so I eat it constantly. 5. Took all my vitamins 6. Mini goal - to think before I eat and stay on track by being conscious of when, what and why I eat or want to eat. To be aware that every time I make a food choice it is a conscious choice - I MADE THE DECISION TO EAT. 7. Big Goal: To learn to consistently distract myself, negotiate with myself when I feel driven to eat and to have a healthier relationship with food. Every day is filled with challenges for me because the Beck lessons are so hard for me to internalize and become habit. I'm intelligent but that part of my brain must be encased in concrete!! Stay strong, November buddies! We can do this - one hour, one day at a time. Remember, a misstep doesn't mean we are failures, we can get back on track the NEXT BITE!
