My sister called me late last night as asked if me and my kiddos wanted to go to the lake with with and go on their boat..... Of course I said yes and we had a great day... We were on Lake Saint Clair and could see downtown Detroit way off in the distance while we were driving.... We went to my parent's old cottage that they had when I was growing up, talked with some of our old neighbors, went to the little penny candy store that they have there (on Harsen's Island), went swimming drove around a big freighter and just had a wonderful time... I am beat and bright red sun burnt, but it was well worth it.... I put sun screen on like 4 times and still got burnt, but the kiddos are fine... Chloe got a little pink on her legs but that was it... Todd (hubby) had to stay home and sleep though because of him working midnights... right after he got home we left and we just got back and he is getting ready to leave again.... There is no way he could have gone with us... Plus we didn't know what time we would be home either.... The weather was perfect today too.... No clouds, No humidity and 84 degrees.... Couldn't have asked for a more picture perfect day..... I think I caught some guys checking me out too... LOL.... Although they could have been looking at my 19 year old niece (probably), but I like to think that they were looking at me.... I was doing good today.. was in a fairly good mood from yesterday's festivities and I was off to get pull-ups for my little one and a few munchies for the kiddos... I was in line and forgot to put the little divider after my order.... Then someone came up behind and grabbed the bar and put it there... I of course said "Oh I am sorry, I don't know where my mind was"... and laughed... she then said to me "That's OK hunny, that is normal when you are expecting" and pointed to my belly!!!!! OMG!!!! I couldn't even say anything... I just turned around and handed the cashier my costco card and went about the rest of my order..... GEESH I am gonna be a grandma in a few weeks, I have lost over 100 pounds, I wore a two piece bathing suit yesterday at the pool and here this woman is telling me I look pregnant!!!! That just killed my mood for the day needless to say.... No I did not turn to food, but I sure wanted to.... I am still shocked that someone, anyone, could actually say that to me... I really don't think I look pregnant, maybe still a bit overweight, but for sure not pregnant.... What a day.... OH and then I went $80 over budget on the grocery bill too... so that just put the icing on the cake (so to speak)... Well that was my day... We need to start sharing more on this board... it used to be so active and alive, where have we all gone... I am going to try and start posting a little something every couple of days...
