Topic: RE: Wendy's Chili
I like Wendy's chili too, but I'm far more interested in your stable weight! Let's chat, shall we?
Tell us what you do. Do you count calories and carbs? If so, how many do you shoot for. Give us an idea of your eating and exercise routines!

I too LOVE chili... whether it be Wendy's, Stagg, or homemade... those are the only three I will eat.... but it has to MY homemade... LOL.... When I make my homemade chili I eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner.... I liked chili before my surgery... but I LOVE it now.... I just can't seem to get enough of it..... KWIM?????
I sure so hope that chili can keep our weight stable.. I need that incentive.... LOL... Something to keep me going at least......

Thanks so much Britt!!!! I am really trying to make myself think of my accomplishments every day.. Somedays are harder than others, but since CeCe started that thread it really makes me think.... and I strive hard to make sure that I have something to list....
I am sure I will have a ton when I get back from Louisiana in a couple of weeks... (read my post to CeCe on this thread).... I can't wait for my grandson to be here.... In about 10 days I will be a grandma!!!!!
Thanks again Britt... I appreciate that you think of me....
Hugs,
Shawn M.

I HEAR Ya CeCe!!!!! Thank you soooo much!!! I am so proud of what I have accomplished the past few days.... It may get repetitive for me, but as long as it is something that I struggle with each day, I consider that an accomplishment...
Just want to warn you that on Sat/Sun I am heading down to Louisiana for the birth of my grandson.... I will be away for about 10 days... I will not have a computer with me, but I will try and borrow my son's puter so I can stay in touch....
I am planning on taking lots of frozen chicken and other foods with me so I can make good choices while I am gone... I will be traveling with my mom and the kids, and my mom is NOT one to stop for fast food so that is not even an issue... LOL..... We will be driving from MI to LA (about 20 hours) I am sure I will have lots of things to post when I get back.... (or while I am down there).....
Well thanks again.. I appreciate the applause.....
HUGs,
Shawn M.

Topic: RE: accountability MONDAY
1) 819
2) jogged 3 miles then wnet on the elliptical for ANOTHER 20 minutes ... for a grand total of 550 calories burned baby!
3) sure did
4) 100 ounces
5) Really had a great work out at the gym. I plan to keep kicking my booty at the gym - increasing my cardio for the next few weeks -- that coupled with eating CLEAN ... will do the trick as far as the scale goes. Left there dripping in sweat!!! I love that
6) push myself 7 days this week at the gym
7) 142
8) I decided to add my achievone protein drinks back into my diet plan. So today I picked up 5 cases. Even though there is caffeine in them ... they are 20 grams of protein in 9.5 ounces PLUS some vitamins. It's good for me and I ENJOY them - my NUT says enjoy ... but add 20 EXTRA ounces of water because of the caffeine. That is WORTH it for me
Topic: accountability MONDAY

4) How much H2o did you drink?
5) Success / challenges that you want to share?
6) This weeks mini goal / focus?
7) Your BIG goal.
8) notes -

Debbie,
With people moving around all the time, it's hard to believe doctors don't take on patients from out of state. I'm sorry that is happening to you but I hope your PCP will educate him or herself on post-WLS patients and be able to help you.
There's a wealth of information online but make sure you can verify some of it! If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is!
Please, please take the iron! And, the recommended vitamins. It takes a good long while to build up from anemia but your energy will increase. Just how low was your hemoglobin level? Was your PCP not concerned about that even if you didn't have a WLS surgeon following you?
A good doctor is a gift but you have to be your biggest health advocate. Find out everything you need to know about your aftercare and then bug your PCP or any doctor you go to so that you get what you need! Good luck and keep on coming here!

I love the way you look after your facelift. I'm going to the PS again next week and will have the surgery in about 6 weeks. I am impressed by your quick recovery and so litttle pain? I will be having neck, upper and lower eyes and lower face. Thanks for sharing your experience! Linda in Maryland.
