Thanks again Britt!!!! I couldn't wait to get home to my own computer though and be able to share my joy with my family here.... I did have access to a computer while I was there, but it was very limited since there were 4 of us using the same one... Plus I spent a lot of time up at the hospital with my son and his wife and Evan after he was born....
She had been transferred to another hospital because Evan had an irregular heartbeat... The hospital they were at was 5 minutes from their house.. The hospital they transferred her to was 2-1/2 hours away (136 miles one way).... So me and my son stayed up at the hospital the whole time and slept in chairs.... uggghhh... I was soooooo tired when they discharged her on Sunday afternoon.... But I was so glad that I was able to be there....
Well, I gotta go get ready for church...Talk to you soon...
HUGS,
Shawn M.

Topic: Made it Home and I am a Grandma!!!!!
It was a great trip..... I didn't get to see my grandson born because they needed to do a c-section on my DIL, but I was right across the hall and I heard those first cries.... It was so incredible..... The first time I saw him and held him I cried... I was such and amazing feeling.... I have put a couple pictures up on my profile... He is just adorable.... He looks just like his daddy did when he was a baby.... Evan William is his name and he was 7 pounds 15.7 ounces..... 20-1/2 inches long.. born on 7/25/08 at 6:28 pm.....
I am so glad I was able to be there... If my mom had not paid for the gas and used her vehicle to get us down there, I wouldn't have had the chance to experience such a wonderful time.... I am so grateful to have such a caring mom..... Plus my son may be deployed to Iraq in the next few weeks so it meant a lot to me to get to see him again before he has to be shipped out....
Well anyway... I had to share my joy with all of you...
Oh and over the past two weeks I only gained 2 pounds.... that was really good considering all that I ate plus I forgot my thyroid meds and didn't have them for almost 2 weeks.... I also spent 4 days eating hospital food and chips and pop.... So I was pretty glad that I ONLY had gained 2 pounds.... Now to get back on track and I am sure it will be gone in no time.....
It took us 23 hours of driving to get down there... and 20 hours to get back (we took a different route coming home).... I am sooooooo tired.... I am off to bed... just had to share with my extended family......
HUGS to all,
Shawn M.

Topic: RE: Feel Lost.................
Hi Debbie ... Welcome :0)
I hear the fear in your voice.
My sacle has been up and down and I KNOW ITS MUCH EASIER TO STAY ON TRACK than to veer off track and *struggle* to get back on. It took me months to finally REALLY get back on track.
It comes down to getting back to basics
you have to follow all of the rules all of the time
drink at least 64 ounces of H2O
take your vitamins
protein protein protein
plan out your meals and log everything on fitday.com
talking yourself through the moments when you want to stray from your plan
move it - exercise
have you ever tried the 5 day pouch test? Maybe this would help you to regain control.
http://www.5daypouchtest.com/plan/days1_2.html there us the link - check it out.
KNOW that you DO have the power to GET BACK ON TRACK .... it takes pure DETERMINATION!!!! and it doesn't happen overnight. just keep fighting
I think you are doing the right thig by coming here and reaching out.
We are here for you.
Hugs,
Britt
Topic: I've gone and done it!
Well ladies I've scheduled it. I am set to have my PS on August 18th. YIKES. Less than a month away. I'm having a lower body lift and breast aug.
I was going to wait until January but the more I thought about it the less I wanted to wait. It's been a bit of a roller coaster emotionally for me and I'm at the point that since I've made the decision to do it I just want to get it done NOW!
My boss is being awesome and will allow me to work from home for as much as I can/want. I'll definitely take the first week off completely and then see how I feel the second week. I know by the third week I'll be going stir crazy but probably wouldn't feel up to actually going in to work so it will be really nice to be able to work from home. Plus it means I don't have to go without pay for so long (only have a week of vaca saved up right now since I'm new to the company).
I can't sit still, I can't sleep and I feel like boucing off the walls I'm super excited and slightly freaked out at the same time.
