Thanks for the thoughts Shawn; you've always been so supportive of everyone here! :)
I have faced the reality that it will be a struggle absolutely forever! And that's okay. I know what I have to do to keep my head in MY game, so to speak. I love to be the cheerleader for everyone else too though; it's just that if I can't keep my head straight, it does me no good. I hate to sound self centered, but sometimes you gotta.
With 6 kids, I really hope you are making yourself a priority. It is so easy for us to let everything else take a front seat. I can't even begin to manage how hectic your day-to-day life is!
*hugs* back at ya....

Isn't it amazing to think of how much weight we were carrying on our bodies? I just can't believe my joints hadn't already given out. Or if I think about carrying around someone who weighs 147 pounds on my back I think I could manage it for about two minutes. How did I do it so many years?

Hello :)
Welcome back - WOW sounds like you had some EXCITMENT - jeesh - thank God you are OK - sorry to hear your are in swell hell (as wanda calls it) - any pictures to share??? I bet your clearance has something to do with your welling :) take it easy - baby steps!!!
I so agree if you aren't in the habbit of tracking lots of little things can add up to a big caloric intake at the end of your day -- and more than 1/2 the time it isnt easy SATISFYING stuff
easy to get off track that way. I know there have been days that i have picked here and there and then logged it later and YOWZERS! I was SHOCKED at my intake. I like logging and I am better off when I do.
you have the same range as me :)
whoooo hoooo for you are your 147 total pounds lost - that is another YOU - your were lugging all over the place, can you imagine?
see you next week
hugs,
Britt

I've been through a lot these last two months with PS and a pulmonary embolism. SCARY!!! But am finally on the mend. I still have pretty bad swelling and for some reason it's been really bad this week . I have finally been cleared to start working out (and singing, yay) again which I started yesterday so that might be part of it. I'm going to try a lymphatic drainage massage tomorrow (anyone had one of those??). The one bad thing is that I had almost quit eating (too much pain) for about four weeks and had quit tracking my food intake. Now that my appetite is back I need to get back to that and planning my meals. Too easy to put stuff in my mouth when I"m not tracking everything.

I am so glad we have started this again, I really like to talk to you all and it's really easy to start sliding so I think it's a good check for us. I've had a really hard summer for pain wise but I just started on a new med 2 months ago and it has virtually wiped out my fibro pain. I have been experiencing terrible daily headaches for the last three months so I started physical therapy today. So I feel really good that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
I do feel really good about maintaining my weight I've stayed almost the same weight for the last year and am pretty pleased about that. I'm looking into having some plastic surgery after the 1st of the year so I'm excited about that.

I am sure glad I decided to check the board tonight. I am so glad Britt you are starting the weigh in’s again I sure missed it. Even though I haven’t posted myself for some time I still do check the posts from time to time. This has been a very busy summer for me probably one of the best summers I have had for as long as I can remember. It so wonderful to have my life back again. Anyway my weight for the most part has stabilized, and I am still 26 pounds below the goal weight my doctor had set for me. I seem to be still loosing inches mostly around my waste, but my weight is staying the same, I think that is because I am back to weight lifting a lot and I am loosing fat but gaining muscle mass. Hope everyone is doing well.
