It's not about how fast you get there - as long as you get there!
4 pounds in a week is AWESOME
Glad you joined in

Topic: RE: Ouch!
The nurse that attended the surgery just called and said that mine wasn't the worst case they have ever seen, but pretty close to it! She said they had to make a bigger incision than planned and removed some of the encapsulation and cut into the rest to get it to open up. She said that it was very thick. Leave it to me to be extreme! No wonder I'm having more pain than anticipated!

Hi Darnel, these guys are so right. I am a large woman so I go for 120 grams of protein minimal. If I get hungry, I eat more protein and I make sure a lot of it is meat, because it is dense and makes me less hungry.
I am careful about carbs, so I do not eat grapes. You may want to look at nutrition and see the contents of what you are eating. I tend to eat fish because it is low in fat and loaded with good stuff like omega 3's.
I stay away from "bad" carbs, but make sure to eat some veggies everyday, because my NUT told me I need those to burn the fat.
Just do the right things, this is a race we all can win. I do not weigh often because I do not consider myself on a diet, this is a lifestyle change for me.
Good luck, and blessed be.

I've always felt guilty about if I had to take time off work. It's especially bad now that I am the boss. And believe me--EVERYBODY notices when I'm gone! It seems to affect everyones morale too. Luckily, I am extremely healthy and unless I'm having surgery I'm always there.

Wanda, you are a hard working person. You should not feel one bit of guilt about taking care of yourself, it is always a choice to do so.
You make good choices.
Take care of you!!!
Hugs...

I want to say thank you to my surgery board people who were so kind enough to send me Christmas cards. I was really touched by this. I did not even realize that anyone here paid attention or knew me.
God bless them and all of you.
Merry Christmas!

I am fine. My breasts feel bruised all over, but that incision area feels raw. He had to cut under the breast and go in to laser cut the encapsulation that was contracting and distorting the shape of my breasts. It was weird that both of my breasts had it! Less than 5% of the people develop this issue and then it's just usually only one breast not two!

Kim, I don't blame you. You should stay far away from any more surgery for a long while!
Update us on how you are and what you've gone through with the revision. Are you still using the feeding tube?

Topic: Ouch!
When the surgeon said that I could return to work the day after my capsular contracture surgery, he must have been on drugs! OMG, I am in PAIN! I told the nurse that I planned on going to work the next day and she rolled her eyes and said there is no way that you will be up to that. She was right! I think this guy needs to have a lesson in reality. He always underestimates the time frames. He told me that I would only need 1 week off after TT/BL/BA. I needed a full two weeks and I have a very high pain tolerance.
I still feel so guilty taking so much time off work for this self-induced pain!
