Party? You just had surgery and you are still hosting a party? WOW! You are so ambitious! I wish I had that kind of energy. Good luck with it all. I'm sure it will go off without a hitch. Have a Merry Christmas!

Topic: RE: I'm having another surgery tomorrow!?
I am still on the feeding tube. I will be on it for at least a month. Kind of have to see how things go as we go along. I am starting to eat slowly. Just little things like soup, crackers, jello, yogurt. I need to increase food by mouth. But I'm petrified. I had a horrible painful experience in the hospital. I just keep thinking that if I wait long enough, my insides will be healed enough I can just jump to soft foods and start eating for real. I know it won't happen than way, but it's a nice dream. In the meantime, I need to start eating more by mouth and get some good experiences under my belt. I've also been battling acid reflux and waiting for my Protonix to totally kick in. So I have to eat around the flare ups. Who ever would have thought it would be so difficult just to eat.

I wasn't really scared because I didn't feel any pain. They use some sort of anesthesia wash in the incision to numb it. I just woke up towards the end so it wasn't like I wasn't awake the whole time. I'm nosey and wanted to listen to them so I could get the "real" story. I remember the first surgery they were talking about how I was concerned about ending up with too large of implants and how I should be pleased because they were going to be perfect C's. This time I remember the doc saying that he was having difficulty with what he was doing. That wasn't exactly the same comforting feeling as the first conversation that I listened to! I was surprised that they strapped me down during surgery. I guess that usually happens when we are asleep and we don't know it. There was a strap across my thighs and each arm was strapped down. I'm just glad it's done and I hope that I don't have to do this again.

Oh, Wanda. How scary, that is my worst nightmare. I would have freaked out. Did the meds keep you from freaking out? HUGS Christy

Thanks Wanda, I'm pretty proud of the family, wish I had more family photos, but I just hated having my picture taken when I was so heavy. The photo wasn't exactly square when I first uploaded. I've since re-sized and I think it looks better. Merry Christmas Loretta
