Hang in there Britt, that 2 lbs will be gone in no time. I am up 3 lbs, mine has come from a lot of bad eating through the holidays and this move. We are finally getting settled in our new home and I started my new job last Thursday ( I love it, BTW). So I am trying to get back to a better eating plan. Here go my stat's for the week: Starting weight = 273 Last week = 120 This week = 119 Loss this week = 1 pound loss but still up 3 lbs since pre-holidays Total loss = 154 Current BMI = 19.2 Everyone is doing great, isn't this an amazing tool....... Wow, I can't believe I forgot to post last week. By the time I thought about it it was Thurs or Fri and figured I would just wait for today. It has been a pretty crazy time with all of the wedding planning. I have gotten a lot done. the official date in Nov. 8, 2008. We have the church and reception hall set. I also have my dress and we have a DJ. We have 3 appts to meet photographers over the next week and a half. My Mom and I went to a Bridal show on Sun and I managed to say no to all of the cake testing and just sipped on my water. My Mom said that she was caked out by the end. lol I only had 1 person ask why I didn't try any and I just said that I have sugar issues and left it at that. Britt, I am sorry that the nuvaring isn't working for you I have been on it for 2 months now and my weight loss has jump started since then I have lost about 11 lbs since then. Ok so stats this week: Start weight: 268 Last weigh in: 145 Weight this week: 143.5 Loss for 2 weeks: 1.5 Total Loss: 124.5 Current BMI:23.7 Have a great week! hugs, Kim

Sounds like you are getting in lots of exercise! I'm going to exercise Monday - Saturday this week. I plan on doing cardio every day and then following the 28-Day Body Shapeover plan by Brad Schoenfeld. I absolutely love that book and it has really motivated me. Yesterday I cooked several servings of parmesan tilapia. OMG--they are fabulous! I had some for lunch today and then couldn't wait to get home to have it for supper too. I'm taking another serving for lunch tomorrow. I also marinated some chicken breasts and will cook them tomorrow. I'll have enough of those for several meals too. I absolutely refuse to eat any carbs after 3pm. I absolutely refuse to snack on crackers or other carbs this week. I am committed to getting in my protein and water. That's my plan. Wanda

Well despite my poor eating habits lately I still weigh 135. My lowest weight was 132. Unlike my friend, CeCe, I don't think I could ever get into the 120's. I'm going to try to hang in this neighborhood. I am so happy to be exercising again. I bought a book called 28-Day Body Shapeover. Tonight was my first night. I absolutely love it! I'm going to have fun following it because it makes me do things that I wouldn't do on my own. I really want to look great for my company conference in April. Our company sends all of the administrators in Florida and Texas to an incredible get away. This year it will be a dude ranch in Arizona. I want to shock people who haven't seen me in a while. Too bad I don't have time for that face lift... Britt, all I can say is thank God I'm past the child bearing years! I feel for you, sister! There are a few advantages to getting older. Not many--but a few. Wanda

I know my body well enough to know that the 5 day pouch test would have those same results on me. It's way too much like a crash diet for me. I'll just work on following a sensible eating plan. That seems to work best for me. Wanda

CeCe, do you ever have pains in your abdomen? I do all of the time. Last week it was consistently on the right side and this week it's on the left. I hope I don't have internal scar tissue forming! Tonight at the gym I was holding my stomach with one hand and working the weights in the other hand! I was about to let a little pain make me stop. Wanda

First, let me say---your new avitar looks fantastic! Wow! I understand and share your fears. It's probably because I've never had long term success before. But Deb, we are different now. Look at us--we exercise all of the time. We are paying attention to what we eat. At least we are aware of our overeating. I wouldn't have even noticed that I was overeating before. We are reaching out when we mess up. I would have just isolated before. Yes, WE ARE DIFFERENT! We can do this. We will do this. Let's keep doing what we are doing right and improve upon what we are doing that's not right! Wanda

Shawn, Glad you are feeling better and congrats on not regaining after being sick! Get some good bacteria back into those intestines so you can fight any bad bugs! Start wearing that treadmill out again! Do you have any plans of returning to work right now or are you goinig to spend more time taking good care of yourself first? CeCe

Britt, The wound is close to being healed!! It's pretty small now and hopefully will be totally gone before February! I'm still noticing it (or the LBL) during some exercises so I back off. Running is out of the question right now. I really feel it pulling then. Thanks for asking!! As far as the numbness around the incision area, that's most noticable on the back on either side of my spine. When I get on an exercise mat, it just feels strange - like I'm laying on something really hard and uncomfortable! CeCe
