I'm still here in Tampa in Randy's hotel room! I decided to blow off work after the trial that I had to attend. My eating isn't exactly right yet, but I'm heading in the right direction. I believe the reason I'm having such success with the exercise program is because it forces me to use free weights instead of the machines. My muscles had been too accustomed to my typical workouts and now it is taken to a new level because it had to adjust to a new routine! I wish we lived closer together. It sounds like you would make a good work-out partner!

Shawn, UPDATE ON LABS NEEDED ON AISLE 3!!! What's up? You haven't been taking B12 already? I heard so much about low B12 on these boards that my B12 levels have been OFF THE CHARTS ever since surgery! I use a sublingual B12 from GNC. It's cheap and easy and it must work! I also have used Biotin and just a pill B Complex. However, I still nap sometimes!! CeCe

Kim, I'm glad to hear you are up 6 pounds but sorry to hear that you still have the feeding tube and are hooked up to it 23 hours a day. What a pain! I also hate to hear that eating regular food isn't going well. Sounds like it isn't getting far enough down to be the gall bladder. Keep us updated on what the doctor says about that. Hey, at least you could EAT before (even if none of it was going toward nutrition for your body)! Now, you can't even enjoy eating. Kim, I'm looking forward to the day when you can eat, regain SOME weight, be able to work again and enjoy your new marriage and life! CeCe

Trudy, how did the visit with the surgeon go? Did everyone go with you and did you eat out? What did you choose? I always ask all my friends and relatives what they ate when they tell me they just ate out! I just enjoy hearing about food and restaurants! CeCe

Is this the Randy you picked up at the hotel in Orlando?!!!!! Just teasing! Sounds like that trip went really well!!! I'll have to check out the book and see what he recommends! I'm so glad that you are so committed to your new exercise and "diet"! When you see the results you are getting, it gives you motivation to keep going and your motivation helps motivate others - including me!! I had my plan yesterday and failed to follow through with my whole plan. I got off schedule and got off track. I ended up grazing and not feeling great after doing so. I'm better off having real meals. I'm back on track today and had a good protein breakfast and soup for lunch. It's very dreary and rainy here but I got in a good workout this morning. I went to a Spinning class and warmed up 20 minutes before class on the Elliptical. I purposefully didn't do weights today because I'm sore from the 3 strength training sessions I've done this week already! I'll do another one or two tomorrow. I'll teach and then may do a Body Pump class before some cardio. CeCe

OK I'm game I went and found it at the library I'm picking it up tonight, he also has another book called Sculpting her Body Perfect that I reserved. I'm doing Prevention Personal Training DVD which I like but not sure it's quite enough so I'll be interested in looking this book over. Of course this week if I did anything it would be better than nothing LOL. I did swim on Monday and am going to try to get in a workout today and swim tomorrow. I had a fibro flair-up so I was out of commition for a couple days. I was really looking forward to shopping with a friend of mine tonight but she had to cancel because of impending bad weather, I do understand but am so disappointed. Deb

Randy and I are both amazed at how quickly this new workout has toned my body. I've never felt more toned. I'm following the 28 Day Body Shapeover by Brad Schoenfeld. I feel more fit now than when I worked with the personal trainer for three years. I'm still struggling some with my food intake, but I feel toned and strong with well defined muscles. It's great!

The only plan I usually have it to try and stay away from too many carbs.... Doesn't always work, but that is usually my plan... Didn't get on the treadmill today, but I plan on getting on it tomorrow... So I guess I do have a plan... LOL..... I just need to keep from napping all morning... Now that I HAVE to take B-12 though, I am not napping as much anymore..... OH... That is right, I need to update about my last labs.... Uh Oh!!!! Will do that later.... Hugs, Shawn M.

Hey Cece, Grr exercise. I so wanted to report that I got up early and exercised this moring but...layed my butt in the warm bed until 6:00 - too late! Oh well I still have later today and tomorrow. Right now I just want to walk for 30 min. However, my eating is improving. I journeled everything I ate yesterday - even the bad choices and still had fewer than 1400 cal and over 75 grams of protein. For today - For breakfast I had protin drink w/ soy milk. I have yogurt and Kashi go lean crunch for lunch and a bag of carrots for a snack as well as a protein bar for a snack this afternoon. So I should be good to go. Supper - Oh what a tangled web... I have no idea. I have to go see the surgeon tonight. My hubby claims he wants to go with me and take the kids (about 45 min. from our house). If he does we will probably go out to eat and I'll make the best decision I can. I want them to stay home and let me go by myself - if that happens I'll do something fast - maybe yogurt for supper. Hemp Seeds. I am definately looking into it. I like to try new things too and I'm not afraid to try things different ways. With the way I am eating I should be able to loose a little at a time. YEAH! Imagine WHEN I start to exercise too. Thanks for getting this going Cece, Trudy
