It's been an interesting week for me. Henry lost his job and I dipped a couple pounds mid-week, but I picked back up the last day or so, so I'm posting a one pound gain. I set up an appointment with my employer for tomorrow to get a re-entry plan for next week when I go back to work. I will start part time for the first week at least. But I have alot of catching up to do. I've been off for 5 months. They must really like me to hold my job for that long. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone and getting back in the swing of things.
I saw my counselor today and we talked about a financial plan to address all my debt from my medical bills. I've been paying about $600 a month for my out-of-pocket, and that has been really hard with me not working full time. So it will be good to get back to it. I am also organizing my bills with this new software I got called Quicken Medical Expense Manager. I have to estimate how much to withhold from my paycheck for my flexible spending account, and I don't even have a handle on what I spent last year. I am hoping this year will be less expensive, though. Hopefully I can stay out of the hosptial.

Shawn - You are not bad! I know for me - I can beat myself up so bad about my less than stellar choices and then I feel bad about myself and my answer to feeling bad about myself it so eat. Then I beat myself up for eating... You get the picture.
You are not bad. You could have mad better choices and you still can. It isn't too late! The only way to fail is to quit trying and you haven't!
Try a new strategy! Britt and I both did liquid for a few days. It is amazing after doing that - your pouch seems smaller - I definately could eat less.
The way you deal with stress in your life is learned and worked for you at one time. Learning a new way to deal is hard. Give yourself a break. Pamper you a little. Take a bubble bath - preferably with sented candles lit in the bathroom - it feel so decadent! Read a fun book if you enjoy reading. Take a walk if it is warm. Not for exercise just because it is Feb and warm enough for a walk WOW (OK I live in Texas and it is like 80 today). Speed means nothings Perseverence means everything!
Don't give up, Don't compare and Don't beat yourself up. You are amazing. Look what you have done already!

Oh man! I'm sorry you are going through this! Do you have to wrap your finger tight to prevent the swelling?
I hope you get well soon. Must be tough to look at yourself with a hairy black tongue.

I wish I could say I had a good week but I didn't. I'm just lucky it isn't any worse than it is! It started out good last week weight-wise because my ulcer was killing me and it hurt to eat. So by Tuesday of last week I was at 140.2. But I finally got in to see a doctor and he gave me some different medicine and it helped so much that now I can't stop eating!!!! It's been crazy! But I'm getting myself back on track and sticking with the low carb, high protein foods. That really works for me better than anything else I've tried.
Good luck to everyone else this week!!!
Susan

Had a pretty good week. Camping was fun, got lots of exercise there.
Hubby & I are going to marriage counseling, so things are getting better there.
Damn.. I wish my BMI was lower like yours. If only I could grow a few inches, my 5 foot 4 self just needs to be a bit taller.

How am I??? Well here is a summary of the past two weeks.....
Bad 2 weeks....
Bad scale.....
Bad Me...
Bad food...
Bad Choices
BAD....BAD... BAD....
I can't even bring myself to post the weight gain.... but I did gain over the past two weeks... We got our taxes back though, so hopefully with a little extra money in my pocket I can eat right for a week or two...
Hubby did get laid off from his job and took another job making almost half the pay, so I don't know how long that extra money will even last now... So that how things are going with me...
Looks like everyone else is doing well.... WTG everyone.....
HUGS,
Shawn M.
