Hi Alan. Glad to see you posted and glad that all is going well poist op - except for SWELL HELL as Wanda lovingly reffered to it. It seems pretty common and expected - but you poor thing 30 pounds! Wow - drink drink drink and then drink some more! I am going to check out your profile pictures now. Things have been really busy around here. I actually forgot to post last week. I had a bunch of training at work last week. I also had my 2nd ever bladder infection. And am now am fighting off the chest thing that is going around at work. I had a good week. I got my eating under control still not back to working out as much as I should. Ok stats for the week: Start weight: 268 Last week: 144.5 THis week: 141.5 Loss this week: 3 Current BMI: 23.5 Not really sure if the 141.5 will but its been there for 2 days now so we will see. I have been happy at 145 but would like to see what the 140 or 139 would look like! Hugs, Kim

This one hits home with me. I am working very hard to treat myself better and this includes forgiveness for self inflicted harm/pain. All i can say is that I am still a work in progress. Everyday I need reminders. The golden rule should be revised. Do unto yourself no more or less than we would do unto others. What do you think? Valorie

Hello everyone, I really didn't want to, but I decided to get on the scale today. When I decided to get my PS and hernia repair both of my doctors warned me that my weight would go up and bounce around for several months, because of swelling and water from the surgery. Well needless to say they were right my weight is up almost 30 pounds. Standing there looking at the scale it almost made me cry, because I have worked so darn hard to get my weight off. After thinking about it I know it is a small price to pay to look and feel better. I know the weight will come back off in time. I am also climbing the walls not being able to go to the gym or the pool to work out. I had my wife take some pictures of me this weekend (which are on my profile) and I look at them and I am having a hard time believing who I am looking at. I still identify with my before picture and I don't know if I ever will be able to except the new me. So I am going to skip posting my stats and I am going to stay off the scale for a long time until I can get back to working out. Hope everyone has a great week. Alan

Oh, good topic! I am very intelligent, well-educated, and confident, but I still sometimes have obsessive thoughts about all that I've done wrong or all of the times that I could have responded better than I did. It is hard to forgive myself! I struggle with this issue a lot! Thanks for bringing this up. I think I needed to hear it. Wanda

Michelle - you are doing great 2 -3 pound fluctuation is NORMAL CONGRATS ON YOUR SUCCESS! thank you for your encouraging words. I have that Bikini hanging on a hanger so I can *see* it. I think its hard having three little ones that I have to cook and provide snacks for. It just makes it a bit more challenging. hugs, Britt

Are you still battleing that infection? YOU POOR THING - GIRL FEEL BETTER SOON! We can do this Deb! We have come too far to go backwards - summer is on the way! It is SO HARD! I think maintaining is SO challenging I find when I am in the zone (eating right) I am good to go once I have 1 little slip up .... It takes me ****sooooo long*** to pull it back together! While tring to geth back on track ....some days I do good all day and then - ruin it and EAT (binge) at night! I am determined TO SUCCESSFULLY comeplet this 5dpt and see result and feel in control - once again have a great week Deb! hugs, Britt
