Topic: I just made myself sick!
I went through Wendy's drive through on the way home after working late. My intention was to get a small chili--but NOOOOO, I ordered a Jr Cheeseburger! I'm happy to report that I'm sick as a dawg! And, I'm actually happy about it! At least I won't be developing that bad habit again for awhile. In hindsight, I'm just glad that I didn't order fries too! Wanda

I have had this problem since day 1, I take a benefiber w/calcium to substitute one of my calcium vitamins a day, for the most part it does keep me fairly regular. Know you are not alone and well to me it's a small price to deal with for the results...good luck

I have this problem also. I take a stool softener 1 in the morning and 2 at night. I also take benefiber at least 3 times a day and try to eat as much fruit a day as I can. If I take any Tylenol 3, I take a M.O.M chaser with that every time. Deb

Julie, Thanks for letting me know I am not alone. I have tried it all. I find something that works then a couple of weeks in, that stops working and I have to begin my search again. Coffee helps me too. Unfortunately it also keeps me hungry all day long. Catch 22. I am going to add FiberOne cereal for breakfast and possibly snack to see if that helps. Thanks, Valorie By the way, love you avatar! You look fabulous!!!

CeCe, I take my iron about 3 days per week just for that reason. The MOM works now, but I am afraid that it will stop working after a while so I try not to use it except in a dire emergency. Hugs, Val

I get the same way also. In the beginning I ate a couple of dried prunes or plums everyday & that worked. That doesnt seem to work for me...now what works is eating a handfull of shredded wheat...I like the frosted best, but it has sugar. Also coffee does it to me, even a few sips will get me running to the bathroom within an hour. I wi**** would get fixed.. I can go over a week sometimes & HATE that nasty bloated feeling.

Valorie, Are you taking a good bit of iron? Iron and pain pills do me in! For months and months following surgery I took stool softeners every day but (knock on wood) lately I seem to be more regular except around hormone week. I'm glad the MOM worked!! CeCe

Kim, While at the vet's with a sick dog this afternoon, I planned to ask the board if anyone had heard from you. I was glad to see an update and especially glad to read what you wrote. I will be keeping my fingers crossed that you can keep your weight stable without the feeding tube and that it will FINALLY be removed in 2 weeks!!! Thanks, Kim, for sharing your good news with us! CeCe

Topic: RE: Weekly Weigh In week of 3/10/08
I really need to get back into exercise. I let it go while I was sick and have had a hard time getting back into it. I also have been battling bad tailbone pain. The doctor called it coxxydynia (spelling). Said there is no really reason for it it most people but losing the weight probably is the culprit. He is having a custom made donut type pillow made to use when siting. This is when it is at its worst. He said he has good response from people who have had similar problems. But this is no excuse need to get in some exercise. At least I have a job that I am active at. Ok so my stats for the week. Start weight: 268 Last week: 141.5 This week: 141.5 Loss this week: 0 Everyone have a terrific week!!! Hugs, Kim

Sorry guys but I need some help. I suffer from constipation regularly. Last week I went 6 days without going. I have tried everything I can think of. I eat the Dan Active yogurt, I eat the activia cheese, I have taken Miralax (can you say stinky gas!) I have been drinking light plum juice, everything I can think of. After 6 days and a painful, bloated belly, I took a dose of M.O.M. and that does the trick. What can I do to keep me regular? Does anyone else have this problem? I understood it a bit more in earlier days when I wasn't eating much. But now....I don't get it. Valorie
