Good for you Shawn! You have recognized what you need to do to get back on track. You know what to do, just make a conscious effort to do it. You will succeed! Keep the junk out of the house. I know it is hard with kids and hubby around but they could do with a little less junk and a lot more healthy food too. It has to be a family or house rule, no junk! Keep focused and I know we will see a loss next week. Hugs, Valorie

For some reason I can't find my post from last week... It was a long one too... I should have known that it didn't show up when I didn't get a message from Britt.... LOL.... I did post last week though, but it never appeared.... Anyway...... WTG Britt!!!! You are such an inspiration... I wish I had someone like you around me all the time to help keep me motivated... I have tons of emotional eaters all around me and everything anyone does involves high carb foods.... It is so hard and that is part why I have been gaining... Although you all would have been proud of me today... I had a protein shake for breakfast... some tuna salad for lunch... a protein shake in the afternoon... A santa fe chicken salad for a snack (one of those south beach diet things)... And for dinner I had some stir-fry chicken with broccoli.... No pop today, only water, and no wine either.... Wooooooo Hooooooo...... After getting on the scale today I knew I had to get myself in gear and get back to what I know to be the right way to eat.... I even bought myself a healthy eating cookbook today so I don't get bored with eating my foods the same way... So here are my stats..... Starting weight = 309 Last weeks weight = 192 This weeks weight = 196 Loss this week = +4 I WILL BE posting a loss next week.... I am certain of it.... I have got my fridge stocked and ready to go for the week..... Thanks for all the support... HUGs, Shawn M.

Hello Britt, You are such an uplifting person with encouraging words, thank you! My daughter is doing just great, she has lost 88lbs since Aug 31 2007 She is gone back to school and is doing well in school. When she went back the people she used to work with did not even know who she was, she said that was a WOW moment for her. I know the 5 day pouch test is going to be tough, but we have to start some where, I still stay on my three to four oz of food, and drink my water but seem to be staying the same for like four to six months now but I will take it if I can stay there forever. Just wanted to see if it were possible to go down a few more poundages. Thank you for your encouragment. I will keep you all posted. Blessings Chrisy

Thanks for sharing Britt, I have been slack on some of my regimen lately. I tend to skip days on my multi liquid with mega b complex and my coromega. I have always done alternate days on iron. And I give myself a B12 shot on the 1st of every month. The one supplement I am consistent on is my calcium and now I find out it is probably not being absorbed. Geez Louise! I am bad, bad, bad. But I intend to get better. I have been lucky with labs as they have always been great. I don't know if they actually check the calcium levels though. This is part of my ME MONTH. I promise myself to do right by my vitamins and supplements! Hugs, Valorie

Valories buy it from the link i gave in the start of this thread - - I get the powder - 1 scoop am 1 pm - Here is what I take ... My Vitamin & Supplement routine I recently got my labs done and they were good .... yippee. Here is what I am taking ... pre gym 1 b12 sublingual 2500 mcg 1 multivitamin & multi mineral supplement *BARI-VIT* 1 omega - 3 supplement *COROMEGA* packet about 1.5 - 2.5 hours later 1 scoop *UPCAL D* calcium from citrate 500mg / vitamin d3 250iu 1 high potency vitamin D 1000iu - pill dry form *SPRING VALLEY* 1 balanced B-50 b-complex supplement *NATURE MADE* 1 vitamin B-1 100mg before dinner 1 scoop *UPCAL D* calcium from citrate 500mg / vitamin d3 250iu around 9pm 1 iron supplement *VITRON-C* - vitamin c 125mg / iron (ferrous fumarate) 200mg 1 *ESTER-C* vitamin c 500mg / calcuim 55mg 1 stool softener - *EQUATE* Docusate sodium 100mg notes: I switched from Citrical peteite pills - to Upcal D powder - for better absorption. I love Upcal d wish I knew about this 16 months ago, I put a scoop right on my tongue, it is that easy - you can mix it into food or drinks - but for me ...I just take it as is, I love this stuff - its so easy to take. After speaking with a WLS friend regarding how important Iron is, I decided to add Iron to my regimen - the C helps the Iron be absorbed and the stool softener will combat constipation from the iron (so far so good) - - 1 iron supplement *VITRON-C* - vitamin c 125mg / iron (ferrous fumarate) 200mg - -1 *ESTER-C* vitamin c 500mg / calcuim 55mg - - 1 stool softener - *EQUATE* Docusate sodium 100mg Just sharing hugs, Britt

Glad to hear you beat the emotional eating last week. It is such a hard habit to break. Probably the hardest of all. I think we are all emotional eaters! I had a great weekend with Mark in Savannah. We did a lot of walking around on Friday and Saturday so even though I didn't "work out" at the gym, at least I got some sort of physical activity in. And we danced Friday night. Such a good time. We were so goofy and laughing at ourselves dancing like crazy people! We went to a WONDERFUL restaurant Friday night. But I didn't go crazy with the food, even if I could have. We went to a nice restaurant on Saturday night also and I actually had a salad for dinner. Of course I had a few bites of his prime rib and it was soooo good. But I was very pleased with my food choices all weekend. Here are my stats: Starting weight: 233 Last week: 140 This week: 138.4 (again) Total loss: 94.6 BMI: 21.4? Have a great week everyone! Susan

Nice idea! I will get an air freshener for my desk today. I think that will be just the ticket. You Rock! Thanks, Valorie
