Hey Wanda - It is not painful - but it is scary. My blood sugars drop suddenly and I know it right away. I get sweaty (like i ran 6 miles sweaty) - my heart races, i get the shakes and cannot consentrate. Thankfully, each time it happened when Paul was home. I did black out the very 1st time ... I must have been dangerously low. I am going to make an appointment with and endocrinologist to see more about it. From what I read - it can be controlled with diet - It did happen to me recently and I am not sure why???? Unsually I can look back and say - Oh *that* is why.
Get out your video tape girl - I wanna see you SQAURE DANCING!
HAVE FUN -
My friend just met with Dave ramsy and has put many of his rules into place - she says IT REALLY works.
137 - good job! You've been there for a while
hugs,
Britt

I had a great weekend in San Antonio. We wanted to come here to spend a few relaxing days on the river walk. Dave Ramsey (the get-out-debt guru) had a live event here this weekend and we wanted to take Randy's son. He's only 25 so we want to put some good financial ideas into his head before he makes too many mistakes. My son and his girlfriend drank the Dave Ramsey kool-aid (so to speak) but my daughter....that's a different story. We have high hopes for three of the six kids.
I don't know much about the reactive hypoglycemia. Sounds serious--or at least a serious pain. I'll have to do some reading on that. It's bad enough to worry about dumping, but to have to consider the hypogycemia too is too much!
I'm sitting at the airport waiting to go to Phoenix and then Wickenburg. My presentation is Tuesday morning and the square dancing is Tuesday night. Maybe I can enjoy some parts on Wednesday and Thursday prior to flying back home on Friday.
I've been eating out and eating too much, but on the bright side I haven't been snacking! I'm just going to get through this week and get back on track next week.
I haven't had access to a scale, so I can't weigh myself. I've been wighing 137 for quite a while so I assume I'm still there. We'll see next Monday!
Hope everyone has a great week. I'll be checking in from Wickenburg!
Yehaw!
Wanda

The Professor that does it is a Performance Athlete tester and he's really interested in us Bariatric patients he does both tests for $40. I'm excited about having it done.

Deb,
You are right - that *tiny* weight fluctation is Aunt Flo - but still I *know* seeing the scale up is hard. I myself am really trying now to let that *number* dictate my attitude for the day like it has. I give it far too much power and that is crazy - not fair to my family - or me!!!
How exciting that you are getting an under water test / RMR. I hear that is themost accurate. Where are you getting it done? How much? I can't wait to hear your results.
It is scary to think you *can* go back to your old habbit - But KNOW you *can* make the choices NOT TO! You have come so far .... you have lost 135.1 pounds
don't stop now ... go for it all! YOU CAN -
HAVE A GOOD NIGHT A SUPPORT GROUP & REFOCUS -
hang in there,
Britt

I did not enjoy stepping on the scale this week. I know it's Aunt Flo week so that always adds but it was disheartening to see the number I didn't want to see be on the scale. I'm going to support group tonight which always helps to get me back on track. I'm going in for my under water weighing and RMR on Sunday so I'll let everyone know what I find out about that.
I have so much going on in my life right now I feel like I'm spinning out of control. I am so scared to fall back into old habits and start gaining this weight back. I am really struggling with emotional eating I certainly didn't loose that with the WLS. Darn!
Starting weight 298.5
Last week = 162.8
This week = 163.4
Gain this week = 0.6
Total loss = 135.1
Current BMI = 29.9
My goals for this week are to exercise 5 times and really work on emotional eating.
Everyone have a fabulous week

I am struggling with everything. My eating and my exercising, my life Yikes. My DH's sister is down at the Mayo Clinic going through treatment for her Multiple Myeloma. They are trying to get her prepared for a stem cell transplant. We went down on Saturday and spent the night with them.
I'm having a really hard time dealing with this. It brings back all the memories of my mom and her pancreatic cancer. I'm eating like a pig and of course feeling like crap.
But on a happier note I went to my Spa day on Thursday. I was Diva for a day. I had a facial, full body massage, manicure, pedicure, blowout and hair style, and they put on makeup and served me lunch. I really enjoyed this. I had never had a pedicure and now I know it's going to be part of my routine.
I did get in two aqua jogging workouts last week and am shooting for 3 this week.
We had snow again this weekend and it looks like it's finally going to get nice this week. It has been a really long winter and I can't wait for it to get nice. My son starts practicing for baseball outside tonight.

Doing well here.... I am holding my own with my weight this week... I went to my mom and dad's and spent the entire day doing yard work on Wednesday... I had muscles hurting that I didn't know I had... LOL... I got a good work out doing it though...
It was 72 degrees here on Friday... beautiful day... but today it is snowing.... Go figure... That's Michigan for ya....
My eating this week has not been exactly on track, but better than what it was a few weeks ago.... I am grazing a bit, but I am at least making sure my meals are high protein, which I was slacking on that before... I am not munching on the candy anymore either, so I have stayed pretty focused this week... I am really trying to stay upbeat, but since hubby lost his job last month it is really difficult... He did get another job working nights at Meijer's, but that is hard on me too, not having him here at night and then he sleeps all day.... We are adjusting, but it is taking it's toll on me.... I am just glad we have an income....
Well, I gotta get back to the laundry.... It was good to get on here and see a post other than the weigh in.... Thanks for starting this CeCe...
Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone....
HUGS,
Shawn M.
