GastroIntestinal Issues
I wonder if anyone else had gastro-intestinal issues after surgery? My GI doctor tells me that I am very constipated (as if I need him to tell me this!). He did a colonoscopy and found 3 brand new ulcers. I never had GI issues, never ulcers, etc. He did an endoscopy and colonoscopy at that time. I am badly dehydrated. I was sent to a kidney doctor, too because my liver functions were off (blood work). The kidney doctor did not see anything wrong with me at the time other than a dilated bile duct. The GI doctor wants to do another colonoscopy and suggested different methods to diagnose the cause. Any suggestions would be appreciated, if you have experienced this.
Thanks!

So sorry to hear you are going through such horrible issues.... I had a couple of ulcers in my pouch right after surgery, but nothing since then.... I actually have the reverse problem of constipation.... Have you been taking your vitamins and getting in your water???? Not that I am one to lecture about those because I am so bad about remembering them myself, but I do know how important those are.... Have you spoke with your surgeon about these issues to see if they are related to your surgery??? I would try and speak with someone from their office before subjecting yourself to more testing.... Best of luck to you Debbie... Keep us posted on how you are doing...

sorry I have been MIA for so long. I'm sorry you are having GI problems. Over the Memorial Day weekend, I was vomitting blood and had to go to the ER, I had bleeding ulcers for the first time in my life. I didn't even know I had ulcers. I had been taking a ton of Motrin for a few weeks prior due to painful dental work, and I was told that was the cause. Now it's only Tylenol for me. Take my advice and be careful, it's dangerous for the bleeding. Has the doc put you on any meds yet?
