Going to Louisiana!!!!

I am so excited... I am going to be a grandma NEXT week!!!!! They are inducing my daughter in law on the 24th.... My mom is taking me and my kiddos from Michigan to Louisiana so that we can be there when the baby is born!!!! We are heading out this weekend, so I am very busy this week, packing and doing laundry and trying to get the house clean.... I don't want to come home to a messy house.... Anyway, I don't know if I will get a chance to borrow a computer while I am down there or not, so I may be MIA for almost 2 weeks... I will put pictures on my profile as soon as I can.... My son said I could borrow his computer while he is at work and I am at their house, but who knows what will happen.... Unfortunately her being induced early brings lots of mixed feelings, because that just means that my son will ship out to Iraq even sooner than we had planned They said he will have 2 - 4 weeks after the baby comes and then he joins his platoon (or whatever their "group" is called) over at Camp Victory in Iraq..... Of course I am sooo excited to meet my new grandson, but I wish my son could stay here and see him during that first year.... Well, I gotta go get dinner made, work on more laundry and work on more packing and probably another list of things to take... LOL.... Hope you all have a good night.... I will try and get online at least one more time before I head out.... I just hope I can stay on track while on the road and staying at my son's house..... Shawn, How exciting! I still find it hard to believe that you are going to be a grandma! You're too young! I'm so, so sorry that your son will be deploying within a month of the baby's birth. That's not fair. I can't remember if you've told us the grandson's name (if you want to share it). We will miss you and I KNOW that the positive attitude you've had lately will see you through. You are doing so well! I'm glad your mom isn't the kind to want to stop at all the fast food places!! Have a great time and we hope you will get to check in with us! CeCe

CeCe, His name is going to be Evan William!!!! I have been sooo busy getting things ready to go, plus I had to go to my DIL's grandmother's house to get the bassinet that they need.... One more thing to pack into our already tight quarters... LOL.... Just to let you know, in the past week and a half I am down 7 pounds.... Woooo Hooooo.... Yeah Me!!!!!! I am ashamed to say it but I let my weight get back up to 212 and as of today I am back down to 205.... Hopefully when I get back from Louisiana I will be below the 200 mark and back into ONEderland..... I would be happy if I just stayed the same though... KWIM.... I know my mom is planning on making a pot of spagetti, so I have a box of whole wheat noodles that I am taking for me... I am taking some frozen chicken strips to make a stir fry with and I am taking about 4 round steaks to make up... Plus I am taking whole wheat bread with some sliced turkey to eat while we are on the road.... OH and I am so excited (for another reason)... On the way back we are going to swing through Alabama and stay a night or two with my BFF... She moved down there a few years ago and I have only seen her like 3 times since she has moved.... I am soooo geeked.... It is going to be a great trip... Between the arrival of Evan and going to see my friend Jen!!!! Too bad I am going to be gone over my 10 year wedding anniversary.... Oh well, my son, DIL and Grandson are more important right now... LOL... Well, I am rambling now and I Have to get back to packing and getting things ready for the trip....
