 GIVE YOURSELF CREDIT for the weekend and today July 14
Happy Monday to you, gang! So, how was your weekend and how's your Monday going? Did you fight against those sabotaging thoughts? Did you write down and/or review those weight loss advantages cards? Mine are right by the computer and by the bed but I need one in my purse and on my bathroom mirror. I need them tattooed on my body or have my fridge require I read them before opening!
I'm patting myself on the back for giving up my no sugar added ice cream. If Britt could give up her coffee creamer, I can give up my ice cream. At this point, my negotiations with myself resulted in giving it up except for very special occasions like my birthday or Christmas (anniversary, etc!!!). That's the deal I've made with myself so I have to hold up my end and fight the side of CeCe when CeCe The Sabotager raises her evil head!
I'm giving myself credit for planning and cooking at home the whole weekend. We had some good healthy meals and as much as I do enjoy eating out, I have to admit I thought my meals were tastier and I know they were healthier. My husband complimented me many times. Last night I prepared most of tonight's meal, another thing that really helps me so that I'm not tempted to grab just anything.
I'm giving myself credit for tackling some chores that are NO fun but need doing! We cleaned the fridge from top to bottom yesterday and I took a good inventory of what we have and what needs to be used.
I give myself credit for buying yummy fresh veggies today to be used this week.
I give myself credit for walking by LOTS of treats over the weekend and today and not buying them!
I give myself credit for exercising over the weekend and teaching 2 classes this morning (strength and Spinning) and getting in a good workout myself!
I give myself credit for not feeling depressed when my weight went up this morning. I know it is TEMPORARY and I know that I can make good choices this week and I WILL!
What are you giving yourself credit for? Let's hear it!
CeCe
1. I have drank a ton of water today instead of diet pop.
2. I had the munchies for cookies/crackers but had some shrimp instead
3. I had a yogurt for breakfast when I really wanted to eat that sugary cereal that the kids were eating.
4. I didn't graze on "low cal" junk food at all today!
5. I have really focused on protein today.
Hope you all have plenty to "give yourself credit" for today!!!!!
HUGS to ALL,
Shawn M.
I HEAR Ya CeCe!!!!! Thank you soooo much!!! I am so proud of what I have accomplished the past few days.... It may get repetitive for me, but as long as it is something that I struggle with each day, I consider that an accomplishment...
Just want to warn you that on Sat/Sun I am heading down to Louisiana for the birth of my grandson.... I will be away for about 10 days... I will not have a computer with me, but I will try and borrow my son's puter so I can stay in touch....
I am planning on taking lots of frozen chicken and other foods with me so I can make good choices while I am gone... I will be traveling with my mom and the kids, and my mom is NOT one to stop for fast food so that is not even an issue... LOL..... We will be driving from MI to LA (about 20 hours) I am sure I will have lots of things to post when I get back.... (or while I am down there).....
Well thanks again.. I appreciate the applause.....
HUGs,
Shawn M.

Ok, I'll play:
I give myself credit for:
*Drinking a gallon of water today
*having a great workout at the gym this morning
*Planning my food and not varying from the plan (first time in MONTHS!)
*Passing up the birthday cake at work
*Ordering a new fitness book
*Taking all of my vitamins
*Cooking four fish filets to give me quick meals through the week
I guess I did more good things than I thought! W
Wishing you a successful day!
Wanda
Wanda,
I've been wondering what you've been up to and now I know! WORKING HARD!
I hope you pat yourself on the back all evening - that will keep you from reaching for snacks!!!!
You guys are doing so great today! I had my healthy dinner but I took a few bites too many as usual. I need to measure out my food and keep it on the counter. I had some on the table so my husband could get seconds but I was the one who got an extra spoonful!!! Healthy or not, eating too much isn't good! Overall though I can tell I'm doing better. I don't feel bloated and I sure am peeing a lot!11

Thanks so much Britt!!!! I am really trying to make myself think of my accomplishments every day.. Somedays are harder than others, but since CeCe started that thread it really makes me think.... and I strive hard to make sure that I have something to list....
I am sure I will have a ton when I get back from Louisiana in a couple of weeks... (read my post to CeCe on this thread).... I can't wait for my grandson to be here.... In about 10 days I will be a grandma!!!!!
Thanks again Britt... I appreciate that you think of me....
