Where is Everyone????

Just wondering where everyone is at and if they enjoyed the 4th???? I had a great time with my kids, hubby, mom, dad sister and her family... Unfortunately my diet went out the window with the alcohol and the two bites of the s'mores I had, but when it came to the meal I did pretty good... I didn't munch all day like I usually do either.... I did notice a gain this morning, but I am sure I will pee it all out the next day or two with the amount of drinking I did.... Last night was the first time I have "tossed my cookies" from drinking since long before my surgery.... I didn't even think that was possible anymore...LOL.... I had a good time and that is what matters.... I don't even care about the couple of pounds at this point.... I have been so down lately with the bills and the income that I really needed a day of fun, sun and fireworks.... We had a blast and I hope everyone else had a great day.... and I hope you all remembered our soldiers and what they are going through and prayed for them all to have a safe return home soon.... Hey Shawn! Glad that you had an enjoyable time -- we are away now and havingfn in the pocono's (pa) I think i am the only one who no longer CAN get a buzz??? It is so weird. I can have 2 glasses of wine or two drink an MAYBE feel a slight buzz for hmmmmabout 5 minuts --poof then its gone. SOOOO to me the EXTRA calories aren't worth it!!! Its just so weird --Wanda (and others) talk about getting DRUNK on a sip or two -- hmmmmmmm talk to you soon, Britt

Ohhhhhhh The Pocono's... me and hubby were supposed to have our honeymoon there, but it never happened... we ended up on weekend cruise for less money.... Believe that or not.... I know all about not feeling the buzz for very long... that is how I am.. that is why I was soooo shocked to get "sick" the other night... go figure... maybe it was just too much sugar, but that is not what it felt like.... Well, enjoy your trip.... I hope you have great time.. I can't wait to go there... Maybe for our 15th or 20th anniversary we can... This month is our 10th and I just don't see it happening considering I am heading to Louisiana with my mom and the kiddos the day after our anniversary for the birth of my granson.... That is another post.... I said I was going to post every day... I have lots of tidbits to add to the board... They are OT... but at least it gets the board moving... LOL.... I love the Pocono's! Have a great time! I would love to go back someday. We are still trying to get our house paid off (we are down to $38k--yeah!) so we aren't spending much money on travel this year. I just booked a cruise to celebrate my son's graduation from the aviation acedemy, but it's next February. We are paying for his girlfriend to come with us, so she (and he) are thrilled about going. The only other thing we have planned is to use our hotel reward points in Key West in the fall. It sounds like you are making a great summer for your girls! I'm sure they are loving it! Wanda
