I've had wine several times since surgery. I used to be able to drink a glass or two before I felt tipsy. Now I feel it after just ONE SIP! I swear--just one tiny sip! I wonder why my reaction is so different now. Any thoughts?

I tried a sangria slushy Memorial Day weekend. I had 2 little teaspoons and I turned white as a ghost and was so light headed I had to sit down for 15 minutes. It was out of my system in that time. So I'm off all alcohol I never want to feel that way again. Especially with my DH telling me he told me so.
I do find though that my body changes all the time especially with food so maybe it's just a change you've gone through of some kind.

My reaction to wine varies. Most of the time less than a half glass I'm pretty darn happy. Every once in awhile though I can drink two and hardly feel it. And if I've eaten or not doesn't really seem to matter in the least.
Food definitely varies in reaction though. Sometimes I'll eat something that I eat all the time and I'm suddenly horribly sick because of it. Then when I try it again I'll be fine. I sometimes wonder if I build up a nontolerance to something if I eat it on a regular basis and my body decides it's had too much of that particular food. Because once I get sick on something I quit eating it for quite a while so when I go back to it it will have been out of my system. I know...that sounds totally far fetched but I definitely think it happens with sugar. If I have medium amounts of sweets, not enough to make me sick in any one sitting, for several days in a row on about the third day of doing that I'll have the same amount I've been eating and I'll totally dump. It's all very different from before surgery, that's for sure!
