My daughter and her friend knows one of the guys at the Acura dealership where I had my oil changed. He told them that I "was so hot" and all the men were peeking around the corner to check me out. They couldn't believe that I was old enough to be my daughter's mother! When they gave me a free oil change I thought they were just being nice!
Where was all of this attention when I was single?

Isn't it funny we were so large, but yet some how invisible?
Wanda,
I'll bet you get plenty of looks on the way to and from work too!!! Loved reading this!!! Last week I thought I was looking pretty hot when I stopped for a smoothie. I parked a good bit away from the place and was walking down the sidewalk when a guy (probably 40) said "hi" and started making small talk with me. I didn't think anything about it until he turned and started walking along side me. Then it struck me that maybe he wa****ting on me! Now, this was a very upscale development - one of those town center places with nice shops and a big town square with a gazebo and apartments and houses so I wasn't freaked out or anything! Anyway, as I turned to go into the smoothie bar, he introduces himself and hands me a flyer for his business!!!! Hey, Wanda, you got a free oil change! All I got was a business flyer! The guy was just trying to sell me something!!!!
CeCe
CeCe, you and Wanda are so funny with free oil changes and business flyers!
My son changes my oil for me and when he came last time to change it he said "Mom, would you look at you, you are the prettiest Mom in the world" now I would take that compliment any day! He is 39 years OLD and he has his own motorcycle repair business after being in the army, and he is trying to get me to buy a Harley so that he can ride it of course instead of me, but I think I prefer 4 wheels under me instead of two.
This surgery is the best that I have done for myself ever my only regret is like everyone else, why we did not have it done years ago? Much safer now though than it was years ago.

Wow, Chrisy--what a great compliment! I can't imagine my son saying that to me, but I know he is happy for me.
I agree about the surgery being much safer now than years ago. I only knew two people that had it and they both died from complications. Look how healthy and strong we are! Times HAVE changed!
Wanda
Go Wanda!
I just love it when I get a nice compliment or gesture from someone these days. One of my drivers saw me some time ago and his reaction was priceless. He said and I quote: " Damn, Val if I had known you would lose all that weight, I would have married you." Now how do you like that for a backhanded compliment?
On the opposite end of the spectrum, about a month ago I went into the gas station after pumping and got myself a Diet Tropicanna orange. While I was in line the gentleman in front of me paid for the drink. He didn't even tell me. He just did it then left without ever saying a word. I thought that was the best. Someone genuinly being nice and didn't want anything, not even thanks, in return really meant the world to me at that moment.
