Getting back into the groove
Things are still slow around here so I'm report on my last few days! I had a follow up with the PS on Tuesday. He pulled out a couple of stitches that I didn't even know were there and tonight my husband cut another one out! Hopefully, that's all of them. I'm still swollen but other people say they can't tell it. I guess they just think I have super fat cheeks! When I finish this post, I'll put a picture on my profile from last week. They look pretty good but I'm more swollen in the mornings.
I've been getting back into my regular exercise routine this week even though I started teaching again last week. I've done a Spinning class, an aerobics class and been on the treadmill, Elliptical and Stairmaster. Getting the heartrate up there and getting the endurance back. I worked my calves so hard on two machines yesterday that they are killing me! I had to have my husband massage them this afternoon and now I really barely walk! Tomorrow's class I'm teaching is going to be called Fast Friday and they had better be ready to work. We're going to do a Kickboxing warm-up then fast squats, then they will walk on the track for a couple of rounds before going back to strength moves, then back to cardio stuff. They won't get a break either! My dogs are getting lots of walks too so I'm burning the calories this week.
I started going to a chiropractor too. Tomorrow is my third session this week. It's going to be expensive but if it works, it will be worth it. I can live with my back issues but if I can get totaly relief, I'll be thrilled. Physical therapy didn't do it and I hate to think about the shots one orthopedist recommended.
What are your plans for the holiday? There are a series of dog shows in our area at this time every year so we hope to hit one of those. We'll do a long bike ride too. My husband wants to see the Indiana Jones movie. We don't have any big plans though. I'm off Monday but my husband is off tomorrow and Monday.
Come one, let's get some action going! Valorie, I had a front loading machine in Europe and wasn't wild about it. Right now I have a top loader but it doesn't have an aggitator so it's sort of like yours. We don't like it either!

It all sounds so painful CeCe.. even the classes...LOL... You are just awesome, I can't even imagine doing a fraction of what you do....
The holiday????
Well, 3 of my 6 kids are going to be in the local parade on Memorial Day and my oldest (the one in the army)... he is home on leave and is going to participate in the 21 gun salute that they are going to do in the park after the parade... This will be the first time they have had enough people to do it too... I am such a proud mommy...
We will also be celebrating my daughter, Chloe's 6th birthday... Her birthday is actually next Thursday, but hey... free hotdogs in the park and the kids in the parade... what better time to get the family together.... LOL....
Not sure how much I will get online this next week with my son being home on leave, so I will try and check in when I can... after these two weeks I may not see him until he comes home from Iraq.... That is another post in itself..... So when he is not busy with friends or in-laws, I am busy spending time with him, cooking for him, and all that fun stuff.... I will make a post tomorrow or the next day about him all that is going on with that...
You are so right about our board needing some action... I know I am guilty about not getting on here and putting down what is going on with me... I check almost every day, but I never put a post up... I will do that soon.... I promise.... I will probably have to do it in stages though... LOL....
Have a GREAT weekend everyone.... and good luck with your classes CeCe...
HuGS,

Shawn,
Your Memorial Day weekend sounds so AMERICAN and nostalgic! How wonderful that your son is home on leave and participating in the 21 gun salute. However, I'm so sorry that you son has to be in Iraq at ALL.
Take lots of pictures and videos of the 3 kids in the parade. You can torture them showing them in 10 years! And, happy birthday to Chloe!
You have a wonderful family, Shawn! I have only one daughter so I cannot imagine raising SIX! I had a hard enough time raising ONE!
Post when you can but I know how it is when you have family visiting! Have FUN and try not to worry about a thing!

I also am trying to get back into the groove. I am eating way too many sweets and am having a really hard time getting that under control. I did get in 30 minutes on the elliptical yesterday and I will do that again today at work.
We're going to the lake for the weekend my Dad is back from Arizona and up there so it will be good to see him we haven't seen him since last fall. It's not suppose to be really warm but I hope to get my flowers planted at the lake. We usually have a get together with my family it's the big kick-off to summer.
Everyone have a fabulous weekend.
Deb
Deb,
I'm having a lot of trouble with sweets right now. I recognize that it's bad right now due to hormones but I've avoided gettinig into the sugar rut over the past 15 or 16 months but now I'm taking in small amounts of real sugar and it's getting harder to avoid temptation. In the past when I avoided sugar altogether, I lost the craving. So, I've made the commitment to get back to that basic - NO MORE SUGAR! Thank goodness for Splenda and sugar free stuff! I'll still enjoy sweet stuff but hopefully watermelon and other fruits will help!
Does your father spend the winters in Arizona? That sounds ideal!
I need to get my flowerbeds ready but haven't done much since the latest round of PS!
Have a great weekend!

Oh CeCe...I'm so jealous of how you spend your days. I would love it! I still can't exercise because of my latest breast surgery. I saw the ps this week and he took out an internal stitch so that the breast would drop a little bit. If it helped at all, I can't tell it! So depressing. I agreed to let him do it, then remembered that the stitches are INTERNAL and that meant that I had to be opened up again. OK--it was just a tiny incision but I'm so sick of being cut! He says that he wants to do one more surgery o make them perfect. We will see about that. I may settle for less than perfect.
I am starting to realize that I will never get over my anemia as long as my menstrual cycles are so heavy. It's insane. I must be entering menapause. My age just blows my mind, because I feel 25! I guess my body knows that I am NOT. Too bad. I will have to start taking hormones at some point in the near future.
I'm sorry that you are having trouble with your back. I know that can make you miserable. My last vertebrae is broken and I have some paralysis because of it. It worries me sometimes of how I may be as I get older.
The good news is Randy got to fly home this weekend! Yeah! We are still working on a goal of getting our house paid off so that we have more employment options. We're down to $47,239!! We're so close I can almost taste being debt-free!
My kids and grandkids are coming today and will spend the night tonight. My daughter's husband left her on Mother's day. I hope this is the final time. Out of the ten years that they have been married, she knows of him cheating ten times! He's an alcholic and a terrible father. I'm so sick of putting up with him. He is living with his girlfriend now, but they are having problems because she caught him cheating on her! What did she expect? Duh. The sad thing is--I know that my daughter will take him back when he's ready to come home. This girl can't possible have my DNA!
Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
Wanda
Wanda,
I'm beginning to think your PS just likes playing with your breasts and wants to keep you coming back to him!!! Just teasing! I hope this latest little procedure makes you happy and you won't need another! Yuck, taking out an internal stitch. Oh, by the way, when I had x-rays at the chiropractor, he said I had a staple or internal stitch showing on the x-ray and pointed it out to me!!! I have more to say but we're headed out to dinner - our dinner "date" just called!
