I've done it again!

Another week has passed without me taking the time to plan my meals and count my calories. It's so easy to be too busy to bother with it. I've come to realize that you can wander into being fat, but you can't wander out. You need a plan! I haven't monitored my intake for months---this is nuts! In addition to not tracking my food, I'm having a hard time getting back into exercise. I was doing so good before. I'm so tired now from the anemia that I can't seem to get my endurance back. Waaa! I'm not so sure that this week will be any better. It looks like another hectic week. We are waiting for our annual survey (we don't know the exact date--the survey team just shows up and surprises us with their week long inspection.) My 24 year-old step-daughter has bacterial meningitis and will be in ICU for at least another 10 days. I read yesterday that there is a 5-15% mortality rate! She just had a baby three days ago!! The baby doesn't show symptoms, but eveybody that has come into contact with her has to be treated--including the hospital staff. And I leave Thursday to go to Loiusiana for a family reunion. I get to meet a lot of Randy's family for the first time. Not a good situation for someone who doesn't want to be the center of attention! I'm going to sit down today and map out a food plan that will take me until at least Thursday. Send me good vibes! Wanda

Wow Wanda! you have lots going on ... oh my! 1) CONGRATS to you and Randy on the new GRAND baby Boy or girl? 2) Sorry to hear about your step-daughter - that is crazy - prayers being said! 3) Wanda - you are a beautiful women inside and out. You have a terrific personality. People are going to be drawn to you - that is the type of personality you have - - I am suprised to hear that you don't like attention. You look amazing *work that room girl* 4) I agree with you 100000% - I too have to plan out my meals. It is so easy to get off track and so HARD to get back on. It took me MONTHS. Lesson learned!! You can do it. You *already* know that not planning out food is a *key* to your success- sit down and make the time for you to do this TODAY! As far as the gym - it may take you a few days to get back in that grove - but once you start it - you'll be glad you did! Think of how good you feel after working out - remember that feeling and GO FOR IT! 5) Good luck on your audit at work. sending you lots of positive vibes and hugs, Britt

I planned my meals out for this week. I put a weeks worth of gym clothes in my trunk and I even ironed a weeks worth of clothes so I could just grab and get to the gym early. I had high hopes of getting back into the exercise routine, but the inspectors came for our annual hell week! I will be at work extra early and leaving extra late. I even had to change the plane ticket for the family reunion, but I will still make it in time. Our new grandchild is a girl. The first one! Now we have 5 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. She will be spoiled rotten, I'm sure. My step-daughter has regained consciousness and is responding to the antibiotics. It looks like she will be fine. They plan on keeping her in ICU for another week though. With all that said, I'm grateful to get all of this out of the way so life can return to normal next week.

Wanda dahling, 1) Congrats on the GIRL! I know she will be a PRINCESS. 2) HELL week will soon pass. You will get through it even if you think otherwise. What I always tell myself when auditor**** us is "they can't eat me" so everything else can be fixed. 3) Are you sure you aren't trying to dodge this family reunion? LOL we all know how much you LOVE the attention! 4) When has your life ever been "normal" ????? I know mine hasn't! Hugs, Valorie

It's funny that you used the term princess because that's what the parents call her! Our inspection is so important because they post our results on the internet and new clients decide on which facility to choose based on our scores. Not to mention, my pride is deeply involved here. and my bonus! You may be right about that avoidance thing..I've been trying to print my boarding pass for the past hour and the dang printer keeps jamming. I'm just not suppose to go on this trip! I agree, neither of us live very normal lives. I hope you are doing ok. Are you still staying with friends? Wanda
