Weigh Day - 4/14/08

Hi Britt, Funny you mention, REACTIVE HYPOGLYCEMIA this week. I have had two-three episodes over the past few months and didn't know what it was. It happened this weekend! When it started, I thought this time I am going to check my sugar ( I was expecting it to be high) but it was 41...... I have passed out before at 75..... I had drank some iced tea with sugar (only about half a glass). So, from what I read this is more likely to happen to those of us who have had gastric bypass. More reason, to eat right. Coming from a past diagnosis of diabetes, this is not a road I want to walk down again. As far as my weight, I am still the same. Up 6 lbs total at 122lbs. No gain, no Loss. Hey Chissy - I think the reactive hypogycemia sounds like it is more common than we think - and maybe some people aren't sure - what - it is. How often does it happen to you??? 41 is low. Wow your body is liking 122 - huh what about you are YOU ok with the 122? 122 sounds AWEsome to me xoxoxo Britt

My guess would be that more people experience it than they realize.... I have had about 4 total episodes in the last two months. It is totally my fault, it happens when I eat things that I should not..... It's what I get for continuing to test the waters. You are right, my body is apparently liking 122 lbs. I think my problem with the weight is more a need to work out and tone than to actually lose weight. Unfortunately, the only fat I have on my body hangs around my back and waist area making rolls that I am not happy with. I am going to try and concentrate more on working out and less on weight loss. At 5' 6", my ideal weight is actually 131. I think I would be happy if I was just more toned. I am looking into lipodissolve in the near future. However, the post Valorie made about it has me somewhat reconsidering this. Hugs, Christy

Hi everyone! Sorry I have been MIA lately. I have been pretty busy. Work has been crazy. I have gotten most of the big plans done for the wedding. We worked on addressing the save the date cards and will be mailing them out tomorrow. I have been pretty bad about my exercise. But Steve and I joined the local rec center yesterday. So that will be a big help. As far as stats go I can't actually remember what my stats were the last time I posted. I know that I am up some. I had gotten down to 141 for about 2 days lol but my most consistent lowest had been 144 so I will use that as my last weight. Start weight: 268 Last weigh in: 144 Todays weight:147 Gain: 3 Total loss: 121 Everyone have a good week!

I am so glad we finally joined the gym we have been talking about it for quite some time now. The wedding is on Nov 8 so just a little under 7 months away!! Hugs, KIm

I'm late getting in here as usual. Britt sorry to hear about the reactive hypoglycemia, I've heard that some people get that after WLS. I've been swamped at work. Today is tax day and I'm running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Party after work that I am going to be in charge of at the last minute because the planner got sick, Henry's coming down to sign ALL his back taxes so we can get them filed. He's stuck on a bus behind a head on collision and will be at least an hour late getting here. UGH! And I had to order lunch for 60 at the last minute and they messed up and sent us 11 salads instead of 2. They put down roman numeral 2 (II) and we got 11. So we can't fit the leftovers in the refrigerator! Anyway, I've been so stressed I'm not eating as much as I should. I get that full feeling in my throat like nothing is going down. I'm at 113 lbs. but would like to be a bit higher. I have to make a concerted effort to eat more often. Sorry to hear about Valorie and her house. Thank goodness she and her family are safe. That's about it for me this week.
